I'm really bummed there is no more space. I got 8 days off starting tomorrow.

Almost there! Geminids meteor shower is this weekend too! Hopefully it's not too cloudy. Supposed to rain a little this weekend too. I don't mind muddy roads, just want clear skies

my lil brother is graduating college and my other lil brother flew back from Portland for the weekend.

who wants my spot? rather than canceling it, I could just add you in?

You guys having fun up there in the rain and mud.

 

It was fun driving out in the pouring rain. Everyone got down the mountain safe, well I don't know about the people in the red Ford Ranger.

 

It was an awesome drive back out in the rain!
On Saturday, weather was beautiful, and my neighbor had no problem getting to the campsite with his 2wd sequoia.



Some spots were a little muddy tho.

We had the whole upper campground to ourselves, and I'm so glad 1uzrnr and his wife made it out too. She drove

Even saw a few meteorites that night. But Sunday morning started to rain, so my neighbor was pretty nervous since he had his two young children.







But we only had to pull him up two steep muddy spots. He made it up some pretty steep rocky hills on his own. This first spot was a hill that a red 4x4 ford ranger had to turn around because he couldn't make it up. 1uzrnr offered to tow him up, but the driver declined.

I had a blast tho! My face was sore from smiling the whole way
As soon as we got to the pavement, I asked my wife if we can go back and do it again

I can't wait for sliders so I can hit some real trails tho...

Now I see why they say its dangerous when it's wet up there.....that's not mud in some places, that's red rock that was dirt way back in the day, so its slippery . One of the roads looks like y'all were driving in was literally a river! Looks like fun!!
