I think my verified Amazon purchases speak for themselves.

I am not going to sit around while people make up lies and or storys on a device that they know nothing about nor touched one and or tried one in ANY type of vehicle.

    Hello,

You have a device that improves the gas mileage of the 3rd gen Tacoma 6 cylinder automatic?

He does! It's for the "less trained" right foot pedal operator. He's magical too!

How does it work? My truck gets good gas mileage if I am light on the throttle.

Bingo, thank you. There's a cool gauge on our vehicles as a visual aid to help train our foot too. Some folks don't understand the concept though.

I see. What does it do, slow the throttle rate down more?

Hey, maybe I should make one of these things and sell it. Just kidding. I will spare you all from my snake oil.

Yeah, this thing is simply re scaling inputs based on a lookup table that has some manual adjustments.

The pedal commander? I guess so. Mr. Sartore explained it few pages back. I don't remember the details though. Sounds like a fine product if he figured out a way to capitalize on it, but the factory gauge monitors and provides live visual feedback to some degree and has defenitely trained my throttle foot to be easier on the pedal if I wanted to optimize fuel Econ. If I was looking for more response, just mash the pedal and the Otto cycle kicks in and things get louder and more violent. :)

Seems legit. Although I'm not sure it's worth 240 ish American dollars... Pushing the ECT button seems to do the trick for me. As somebody stated earlier, having a manufacturer or their representative engage in arguments and or pissing matches regarding their product is a huge red flag for me. Simply state the facts about your product and be done with it. That being said, I completely understand you cannot please everyone.

I literally just purchased a Pedal Commander with my brother in law 2 weeks ago (he has the Ford Raptor) and it worked fine for a week, then this morning when I went to start my truck the check engine light came on and a message popped up saying "break traction override malfunction" or something close to that, I turned off the truck and restarted and the message went away, but the check engine light and traction control were still giving me error. The first thing I thought of was the pedal commander so I disconnected it and had to reset the check engine light and traction control, then everything went back to working fine. The Pedal Commander definitely serves its purpose and when it worked, it worked well. You can set it at a multitude of sensitivity levels and at the higher levels, you barely need to push down on the gas and the truck will throw you back in your seat. I might give mine another shot, supposedly Pedal Commander says that I may not have had the plugs connected well enough...but I'm always wary of voiding warranties and causing issues.

First off, welcome to Tacoma World! Second, this product seems to be hit and miss with a lot of people. Some say it's great and others say it's a waste of money. I've never tried it so I can't give a user perspective. I however wouldn't modify anything regarding my throttle.. Seems to risky in my opinion not to mention it may void your warranty if Toyota ever found out. A modification like this can give Toyota an easy way out to screw you over... No disrespect to the product, just my two cents. ECT button for the win.

Yea the sales rep at my Toyota dealership said the same thing, I ended up selling mine, just isn't worth it to me and I love the truck without it anyways

Sales reps aren't the ones to ask. The service manager is the best one to get info from regarding this type of mod, but you're piggy-backing a factory unit and not recommended if you're using it as a daily. I'd think this mod is an "off-road" only type of product where emissions requirements are different for these type of non-highway use vehicles.

i just removed mine today for my first dealer service. didn't want them to see that in case i need to visit for anything warranty.

my truck feels like it's lost half its cylinders. I'm working my right foot almost violently and still can't get it responsive like the PC provides with a light touch. it's a really great product for me and my MT, pretty clear for me to see after removing it.
