Also, could be something unrelated like your CPS crank position sensor, there’s a recall on them for some 2016, 2017

Thanks everyone! I got the limp cleared it looks like and will see how long she runs. This Tacoma is mad at me because I have a new Ranger 4WD Lariat on order hopefully here in a few weeks!!! Ha! This Tacoma soon to be for sale! This Tacoma has been nothing but annoying since I bought it. It does great off road but all else is a pain in the ass.

Dealer can't find anything wrong with truck, again. Took it in today. Even though I removed the pedal commander for weeks now I still occasionally get these RPM surges while sitting at stop lights. Have video of tach with that too. They said they looked, can't find anything wrong and charged me $80 to look at it! Ha!

Not accurate. It opens the butterfly faster. You can stomp on your stock pedal 3rd gen v6 and the butterfly opens slowly at first then increases. Thus sluggish for a second. PC opens it to full throttle much faster thus eliminating the sluggish dead spot. More HP NO. MORE TORQUE NO. QUICKER RESPONSE? Yes. Let me put on a pair of gloves with you and the one win the quicker response hits first. Same concept. The real question is 0-60 times. 0-30 feet pedal commander all day but 1/4 mile maybe .5 seconds ?

Ha. I was gonna photo shop but ..eh. the info is out there. There’s actually vids with the throttle body by itself hooked up to PC and Sprint booster and you can clearly see the difference BUT I’m leaning toward OV TUNE. with PC your have way to OV price but with a tune you get soooo much more

“..it won’t make the car feel any faster, just better acceleration”

I’m not picking apart words here but.... increased acceleration DOES make something feel faster.
It may not increase HP nor give a greater tip speed BUT eliminating the dead spot aka lag can get you from 0-60 about 1 sec faster. Plenty of vids on that. Is one second worth $300 to me? No
Is getting rid of that dead zone when I’m stopped and have to find a small opening in oncoming traffic to make a left turn up my street from the never ending onslaught of Casio traffic? Yes. That damn dead spot is similar to an “almost stalled out” feeling. I’m gonna buy one soon and post a legit review

I wonder why these are so inconsistent and garner such different results on the same model trucks?! Every time I read something about it's either...."Works Great" or "Ruined my truck"?!

Just remember, never adjust your device while the pedal is engaged. Let off the acceleration, make adjustments, then press your accelerator. I know the SB is like that, not sure about the PC.

I'm using idrive on my 2020 sport and its amazing. I have been using it for about a month on U6 and the acceleration is perfect and no real change to the mpg. I highly recommend it.
