I love when other people are called the biggest assholes on the forum though.

Since I know that person doesn't think I'm the biggest asshole!

Just saying its a bit suspicious. And you posted that your last truck was a Tacoma as well. Funny that you just came to the forums now. Personally I was on here several months before I got my new Tacoma just to see what people's thoughts were, complaints, opinions, ect. Doesn't mean everyone is going to be or needs to be. Just seen the same behavior in the bumpers thread and it all turned out to be a sales ploy

Vast majority of everyone's drive time is steady state with slight changes to throttle position. No reason this pedal response changer would have any effect on mpg. Especially if you are already driving for mpg.

I've been lurking for the past year, just never bothered to sign up until I finally placed an order for a taco.

I started using city mode without any + or - because it helps with the jump, but yeah I have an automatic so maybe that's why it's worse for me. Hoping maybe I'll get used to it and be able to "feather" the pedal better as times goes on

Lol you guys are something else. I work 12 hours a day and don't immediately rush to Tacomaworld the second I'm back home (and that's not including all the days we're in the field). I go on here every now and then just to see if there's any cool stuff out, just happened to see the pedal commander post and give it a shot. If you don't believe it or think we're all robots working for the company, then just don't get the product. I only posted a review because I was excited that it worked and wanted others to give it a shot too and be happy since there's a shit ton of people upset with the way the trucks currently are. Either suck it up and spend the $240 to see for yourself or don't.

I haven't been using ECO Mode at all so I can't really comment on the MPG, and it's been snowing off and on here in the north country and since it started snowing I've seen about a 1-2 mpg drop. I'm gonna drive around with it for a day off and then turn it back on and see if CITY mode actually increases MPG or not. I want to say that it will because of being more in control of the acceleration, but at the same time I'm thinking it won't because the truck accelerates faster now which possibly uses more fuel then before when it was sluggish and delayed.

@LSartore I noticed a chance in the initial acceleration (from complete stop to starting to go) when I used the city mode with no +/-. Could I send the system in and have it changed by your shop? I would like to use City +2 but have the initial acceleration of City with no +/-. I don't know too much about transmissions or how the device works, but I'm guessing City +2 makes it shift from 1st gear too soon maybe? If you could clarify what it might be caused by that would be great. It may be something I can change on my own (going lighter on the pedal when I first get going)

How did you do that? What did you use behind the device to block the hole? I have mine near my right knee but it keeps coming off slowly since the surface isn't flat but has a slight curve in it

Back in 1997 when I bought my first Tacoma we just drove the trucks instead of Internet obsessing over them. If this is all a big conspiracy then I guess you can call me an unpaid schill

As for Eco mode, it makes a difference in the instantaneous mpg reading via the torque app I have. Around town, without Eco mode I dip into the 4mpg range while accelerating from a stop. With Eco mode on it stays around 9mpg.

I haven't tested it with an average mpg though because I consider the eco mode almost undriveable due to the incredibly sluggish acceleration curve.

You're right. But it's too late for that now. I have a binding contract in the Tacoma, which is spending it's 8th week in 11 months/10k miles in the dealer.
    By
The aftermarket world is much larger for the Tacoma, hence another reason I swapped.

Just because I have a complaint about the truck, isn't ground to run off trading it for a 10 yr older ranger. what kind of illogical outburst was that?

lot of words to explain a product, would be more valid in my opinion if they at least have actually tested.
