Yep, I'm aware of it; yet if a fun factor can be added to a truck I already like, yet it’s sometimes boring from a power sensation perspective, any "healty" option is welcome and considered.

Pretty much all these options do the same thing with the exception of having more "settings". If you don't need the higher granularity of having more settings, I'd lean more to the budget offerings but I'm cheap as hell.

I just picked up my Tacoma a few weeks back so cannot comment on either the PC or the Sprint booster. I did trade in my 2019 F250 gasser for the Taco and I had the PC in that truck for just shy of 4 years.

I will say that I would/could not drive that truck at all without the PC after I tried it out. The throttle lag without the PC was absolutely awful and the PC made it feel like a real truck again.

The Tacoma I purchased is a manual trans and it does have throttle lag, but not anything close to how bad the F250 was. I do plan on purchasing either a PC or Sprint booster sometime in the near future for this new Tacoma after my previous experience.

    Sigh.

There IS NO THROTTLE LAG REDUCTION (not like the videos from Sprint booster / Pedal Commander portray)

This is a common miss conception. You simply have to push your foot further into the pedal for the same throttle opening stock vs with the pedal commander that simulates you pushing the pedal further.

Dont believe me. Pull the intake off the truck to expose the throttle blade of the throttle body. Turn the truck to on without the engine running, have someone mash the throttle in the cab while you stand outside and watch how fast the throttle blade moves. Ill bet you are quite surprised at how fast it moves.

In fact proven in data logs, the throttle pedal position vs the throttle blade angle is less than the blink of an eye behind in a STOCK CONFIG....

Hi, based on your recommendation, I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09N8V12HB

I think is exactly the same, just different brand. For a fraction of the cost of pedal commander and sprint booster, I get the expected functionality. I got it today, installed, tested it and had a good result. Indeed no extra horse power, yet the driving experience is improved.
Has several operation modes, yet from the initial ones, you get the result. Any lag is eliminated, and the automatic transmition is very responsive.

I had a PC for about a year and a half. At first I thought I noticed a difference, probably because I wanted to believe so. At the end I started getting P2121 codes intermittently (pedal position sensor) and it would go into slow home mode for about a minute. I turned it off, but it still happened from time to time. Removed it, tossed it in the trash and haven't had an issue since. Also, I notice no difference in response without it.

    Nice.
Just was looking at that one, it’s pretty cheap. Know idea why I’m debating what 9drive I want from the 20 different models on Amazon that are all made from the same dude in China.

I’ve had one for over a year now, absolutely loved it, think I made it chirp hitting 2nd gear!
But I have it unplugged now, hoping it will maybe reset itself or something.
Pretty sure it went brain dead, so gonna have to buy another one.

You can also look into swapping out your cam gears. I did that and for me it noticeably helped with my powerband, especially just from the get-go. Some people do that and get a tune (HPTuners).

installed a Sprint Booster soon after I purchased my truck. I am really happy with the results. It definitely puts a much better throttle response into the preformance of the engine. I also installed a TRD cold air intake and AFE throttle inlet spacer.
