I got mine directly from the company. Also as someone has said I never change settings on my phone app unless I’m in park or neutral. Mine works flawlessly no lag in pedal or dead spots. Toyota basically programs the throttle down to get better gas mileage PC gives the control back to you. This makes your truck act normal as it was designed to do.

What’s the difference between the PC and OVT ? PC is quite a bit cheaper, why aren’t more guys going this route ?

OVTune changes a lot more than just the throttle response.

Yeah I mean, I think the bigger question is whether this is sufficient or the jump to OVtune is worth it???....

Am I right to guess that this doesn’t fix the hunting for gears in the Autos??? Just throttle response right?

I get away from stop lights fine. My heartburn is driving say 30 mph and floor it and wait for it to accelerate. Doe the pedal commander correct so you have instant acceleration in this situation?

This right here ^^^ When you're trying to pass some asshole doing 30 in a 65, and you step on the gas, and the truck is like, "Um yeah.... Let me get back to you....."

I have a sprint booster, been running it since March 2018. No issues whatsoever in the 20,000 miles since install. I like the small footprint and you can order a switch panel from shapeways for it with optional 1 or 2 standard tall Toyota switch ports.
My two favorite settings are Sport 8 and Race 7. Sometimes Sport 4 with ECT. It has 18 settings so I’m sure you can find a sweet spot. Nothing against pedal commander; just got a good deal on a SB.

Well I kinda like to gun it so, normally I get 15.5 to 17.1, but it’s still possible to get decent economy tho.

I installed the Sprint booster and love it. I did the tsb58, always run Shell 93, TRD CAI, and Pro exhaust, the truck performs great. I run sport 7 and liked the race 3 setting also. I liked the Sprint booster better because it was the first company to invent it, smaller, better warranty, and you can remove the cable and programmer after the harness is installed also the controller and easier to mount and hide if need be. I mounted mine in the foot well to the right of the gas pedal. I used Velcro sa I can remove it if needed. The cable is so much thinner than the PC, my wire tucked completely under the carpet. I'm extremely satisfied with it.

super easy. You just move the key away from the truck for 15 min. Unplug the throttle from the top of the peddle, and plug in the PC then the original plug on top. Comes with wire ties and Velcro to mount it. I never bothered with the BT app, but I absolutely love it.

In a few weeks I’ll be able to report back on the OVtune with the PC installed.

I see no reason to get a OV tune. I cannot speak of it other than what I have seen on TW. It might be a good thing but with what I have done and they way my truck runs and drives I see no reason to do anymore. The few concerns I have about the OV tune is you better know your way around a computer, longevity, the life span on spark plugs not lasting as long. I have had a few cars that have had custom Dyno tunes and like hand held programers to simplify things. For me the SB made a world of difference, the tab 58. I never had any funky transmission shifting, but I'm happy and that's what matters most to me.
