So, it connects to the wire connector that goes to the pedal.. i thought it connected to the OBD port. Sounds easy and straight forward. Thanks!

I've had mine for a week now and I just cannot believe the difference in it! The thing about it is I drive like grandpa so you know it must've been bad.

What about for a manual transmission?

I'm used to how the truck drives now, but anybody else who dives it asks what's wrong with it.

Throttle response is improved on either the MT or AT. Throttle response is unrelated to transmission option.

Install is plugging online to the connector at the accelerator pedal. Click. Click. Mount the unit. And set the setting to your choice.

My question was vague. I was wondering if anyone with a manual transmission had done it yet and if they like it.

Yes. I have a MT and had one installed for over a month before tuning thru OV. It does everything its advertised to do. And had 32 level of settings? 4 main settings and the ability to fine tune from 4 to -4 on each. It's hard not to like for the low cost.

same. used the PC for about 6 months, that was before OV was here. when the alpha files showed for the MTs i removed the PC and never looked back. it was great. but i needed a real tune, not a work around.

Direct, usually. Keep your eye out as they normally run sales up to 20% off.

IMG_20200115_181942891_MP.jpg I got the SB shipped to my door for $260. The PC and SB are the same but if you want something with a better warranty, a lot smaller unit to hide and way easier to set than the PC. Also once you set your level you like then you can remove the controller completely. SB was the first company to invent this.

PC significantly reduces the lag time, but there's a balance between PC setting and driveability. You can eliminate the time, but you may end up jumping an extra gear on the downshift. Your concerns were my #1 gripe about the truck, and I find that the Sport -2 setting is the best balance for me in terms of overall driveability and mitigating this issue.

I got about .5 MPG increase. On the instant MPG gauge, I can watch the truck struggle in 6th gear at 40 MPH and lose MPGs. PC helps me maintain this speed in 4th of 5th gear, and the MPG is noticeably higher.

Please note the PC states to unplug the battery when installing/uninstalling the unit. I called BS on that and removed it without disconnecting the battery when I was rerouting the cable. I got a message stating that my pedal was disconnected, so I ended up having to disconnect the battery to make it go away. I was wrong.

I followed their actual instructions but waited 15 minutes instead of five. Had zero issues.

I am on OVTune 2.0 beta 93 octane and manual transmission. You are saying that Pedal Commander is not needed with this setup? I am actually still trying to understand what it does and whether it is a snake oil or not.

Maybe they changed it. I installed one on my 3rd gen and my dad's 2nd gen, one bluetooth and one not, and both stated to disconnect the battery.

the PC is definitely not snake oil. it does exactly what it is designed to do, modulate the throttle signal heading to the ECU. if you have X amount of power at whatever rpm, the PC won't change that, it will just spoof your throttle position as if you're giving it more throttle. OVT changes everything with the ECU's tune itself, so changes the power level and whatever rpm, too. you can use both together but OV's tune should have the throttle exactly where you want it and that's part of the tune you're buying: throttle response. i would not use both together, doesn't make sense, too many cooks in the kitchen. if you're in a MT then you definitely don't want both, that's just a mess.
