I have OVT tune and love it. For 2019 MT I use the so called FOB version 1.05 for 91 octane. As stated it works great and the first month or so thrilled with throttle response. But somehow this is transient. This portion is unlearned or overwritten.

Question - has anyone put a Pedal Commander in the equation with an OVT tune just to get a more responsive skinny pedal?

I’m still on the fence about it....it has a 30day money back guarantee. I will give it a few weeks and see. It does make a huge difference

I'm hoping it'll help eliminate shift lag? There's a spot around 1000 rpms where you have to goose it a little to get it to downshift for the extra power, say going up a steep hill. Will the improved response help that any?
Wish i had a manual trans, that would solve the problem lol

Would there be a good setting for towing? As has been well discussed, this truck doesn't have an overwhelming amount of low end torque. Even with the m/t and a 4.30 rear end, starting on a hill with a trailer requires a lot of clutch play to get going

I got my Pedal Commander a couple days ago.
Where would be a good spot to mount the controller?

IMG_20200124_220740314.jpg This was my solution since I have a brake controller in the left side cubby

Not many good spots to mount it.i guess if you want it hidden then you can use the app to control it though.

I am also seriously considering one of these....the throttle in my wifes 4runner is "touchier" than either of my Tacomas

Sport7 and race3 are best. I hid my switch where it cannot be seen but accessable.

This. Zip tie the cable, tuck it away, and control it with the app.

I thought the same thing, but it's very touchy. Ended up settling on City+2.
