I got ovtune and stopped using my pedal commander. It worked great and throttle response was similar to what I have now with ovtune. Ovtune is worth the extra but probably not needed for some. I don’t need my pc anymore $175 if anyone wants it. Works perfect, non Bluetooth. Message me if you do.

Amazon is actually the only place I’ve really seen any negative reviews.

I like the SB better, thinner wire, the unit is so much smaller, easier to conceal, better warranty, set it to the setting you like and you can even unplug the controller and it still works. Either one is good but remember SB invent it, PC is not bad, 2 year warranty.

I feel ya man. Pedal Commanders get crap from people because their function is so elementary, but I'm a huge fan of mine. Made for a peppier ride, and yeah, it hurt mileage a bit, but I didn't get the truck for mileage.

    I'm at City +2.

Probably because he doesnt need it anymore. I just uninstalled mine. Nothing wrong with it, works as advertised. Only use it for maybe a couple of weeks then mostly turned off til I uninstalled it. Youll get the acceleration you want coming from a full stop but after that its a meh. Its for sale now if anyone wants it. Im getting my ovtune soon.

Couldn’t get used to it. My passenger was always lurching forward and I had it on city -2. It worked as advertised and was fun at first. But for the $300 price tag I felt it wasn’t needed by me. The company was great. Took the return. Processed it fast and got my refund

Just ordered mine direct. They’re having a sale ($30 off and free shipping) with code HOME30.

Does Toyota not like people using these? I’ve seen numerous replies on this thread and others where people talk about concealing them or taking them out before getting their truck serviced. My trucks no longer under warranty, but would they still have an issue with it? Or is it one of those “it’s my truck, I do what I want” kind of things?

I’m a few days into my pedal commander. I’m on the side of it creating a whole new driving experience, and how it should have come from the factory at city +2. Definitely gotta be light on the accelerator from a complete stop, but it has eliminated the lag in acceleration from the 10 to 30mph range... such as coming around a corner where normal throttle seems to kill the increase in speed, like it’s trying to upshift when it needs a gentle downshift. I would have paid $500 for it.

Just installed PC on my 2021 A/T. Totally different truck. Driving in Sport. I've noticed the gear hunting not as bad. Downshifting is different too. MPG is up. I will pay attention more in the future miles. I will be towing a couple of waverunners. Hoping PC will help with that compared to without PC.

The pedal commanders seem like scams. They just make you hit 100% throttle by pressing the pedal less. It does not increase your throttle max. If you press faster then you will get the same result without pedal commander. Just does not seem worth using at all.
It will not have any affect on shifting.
Has anyone had problems of this device failing and messing with your throttle?

I understand what you are saying about pushing pedal faster. But look at it this way: I drive easy most of the time to save mpg. So my foot is not in it that much. I average about 20 mpg 75% highway. After PC install I've treated it the same. The truck has quicker response and I know it is quicker from a stop at my normal driving. My mpgs have gone up slightly. If I was to shut it off and press the pedal faster, I'm very positive my mpgs would drop a lot.
This is just my opinion with it. Doesn't mean that I'm right.
It does change the truck and is fun to drive now. If I start to notice a huge drop in mpg I will return it probably.
