This kit is for the Toyota 4.0 engine.
Nothing wrong with Nitrous Oxide as long as you don't over do it.

    This.

You cannot compare. One is a TUNE, the other is a TPS redirect (my word). Not sating PC doesn't work, but if you want more from your engine, then you need an actual tune. IMHO the best thing short of a turbo or even a sc, is 4.88/5.29 and OVT. Like north pole equator difference from stock.

Let make this painless. If you’re on a budget go with the PC; strictly for throttle lag in mind as it corrects that, and has no footprint when you need to quickly remove it for vehicle service. If you don’t have a budget though, buy a windows laptop, dongle, and VFTune. It offers so much more, but of course it also cost so much more. So really it boils down to how much are you willing to spend on the one specific issue the OP stated and that’s the throttle lag.

Agree, although I wouldn't say PC "corrects" throttle lag.. it would be more accurate to say it masks it.
In the end though, it's all about if the driver is happy.

Yep, I chose “correct” because that’s the way it should have been all along. I could have subbed in masked, bandaid, temp fix, and as one TW member put it that’s some Tokyo drift sh*t. Lol. Either way, the truck drives better, and that’s what we’re trying to achieve right?

I bought the PC about 2 months ago. Like others have said, no extra HP/TQ or changes to the tranny shift. You can modify your throttle lag on the fly via Bluetooth, but I generally leave mine set at City+2. It is hidden out of the way and is quickly removed before dealer service work.
