    Hi guys, new here!

However, I just got a 1995 Taco and it went through major renovations; it was a smokers vehicle, the steering wheel rattled (tire problem, replaced) etc, but the smell of smoke is gone.

The one problem that we still have is the gas pedal. When you go to accelerate, sometimes it moves with ease, and there's no abrupt motions.

However, at other times, the gas pedal feels stuck and doesn't move until you apply pressure, which then basically shoves you and your passenger into the back of their seats. This is generally annoying in low speed situations or parking lots, but not so much on the highway.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to get this fixed?

    Thanks!

Check for a worn bushing or a binding cable.
