    Thanks

Hey Chris, no huckfest. Dove season opens next weekend so I'll be out in imperial valley tomorrow looking for all their hiding spots. Gotta get that limit early before it gets too hot. I try to be in the pool at the hotel with a case of beer by 9:00 am

I'll definitely make some Dove Jerky. I haven't been making too much Duck Jerky, they have all gone into the polish sausages and brats. Already went thru almost all of last seasons sausages, I think all I have left is a few pounds of vension jalapeno/cheddar polish sausages.

Duck opener for me is sept 1st since I deploy to cordova ak. One of the top salmon fishing areas in the world (copper river delta) and the duck hunting is supposed to be pretty good too. This will definitely be a man camp deployment

Awesome, glad we don't start that early. As you know duck opener at Wister can be in the 100's which sucks in waders.
Be sure to blast some fear into em up there and sen em south.
Mix in some salmon fishing, damnit I'm jealous.

That may be a loaded question :)

Found some real nice groups of birds. Several spots to start as options. Will check again on Saturday morning to see what has changed with all the thunderstorms rolling thru this week. Hoping one spot that was thick with white wings will still be holding birds. They were super thick in there, flights of 25-50 were comin thru or popping out of the trees every 30 seconds or so.
Last season we had a really good population in one area and I was finished up in about 10 minutes and only 12 rounds. Typically it's more like an hour and a whole lot more shells.
