Pelfrey mounting question

well i scored a full hoop steel front for my "12 for 500!!!
had it blasted and coated and going to be installing soon.

when i got it i got 2 longer bolts and the bumper and thats it, do i need the reinforcement bracket for install? and where exactly are the two longer bolts for?

There is an “L” shaped bracket that mounts behind the bumper and ties into the frame.

 

these?^^ and are the mandatory to mount the bumper

 

Not mandatory but highly recommended. Its a frame reinforcement bracket. Provides a better hold that just the 6 nuts that the crash bar is mounted to. Even more highly recommended if you plan to run a winch.

 

and those 2 longer bolts run through those brackets i assume?

 

Yes. The two holes go over the leading bolts where the crash bar was mounted originally and the long bolts go through the single hole and through the frame. It kind of cups the bumper I’ll send pics and links.

I just realized you said you snagged one of these for $500 that is a hell of a pick up man! I was happy to find mine for right under a grand and then had to ship it. And Thanks man, its a money pit but I smile each time I have to walk up to it when Im going somewhere.

 

yeah found it right in my town on CL, actually talked to the guy who owned it before a couple times and he just so happen to be the same kid. was def a snag. i always have to turn and look when i leave. haha
i got her powder coated for free too
