Ok so just took the worse looking nut off and count how many turns until it was tight. I got 5 full turns from the time it first bit on the stud.

I seriously doubt pelfrey let that leave with the ugly welds and edge that was never cleaned up. Every single weld on all of my pelfrey armor looks like a stack of dimes. You might want to call them and send some of those photos direct and inquire with them.

I'd say it'll be fine with that many turns.

Ok so the right person seen this and it has been welded on. I received a call that he welded these extra plates on. Not sure why. So my question remains. Are they ok like this?

Just to be safe I'd pick up some longer bolts. Pretty cheap for peace of mind.

Five full turns is fine, but we're talking about a plate bumper that might get some abuse. I'd want more than just fine.

Actually the guy that did the welding. Crazy turn of events. Said that's what his customer wanted. He knew it was it because he's a member on here.

Also you could throw some washers in to grab those slots better if you got longer bolts...

Yeah that's probably what I'm going to do. How hard is it to get those studs out? I can see they're tack welded.

Oh gosh, didn't even notice they're tacked into place. I'm out of advice. Maybe someone who knows welding better than me will chime in. Good luck.

Pelfrey also doesn't make the slots like that. Those have been opened up. There should be 2 separate smaller slots, 1 for each bolt

Yeah now he did tell me that. He wanted to be able to adjust it higher. He didn't like the 1/2 gap rule so he cut them to lift it. After seeing that the flex would make it hit he took the bumper off and now I have it.
