Looking to see if someone who has a HC rear bumper with the swing out can take some pictures for me. I’ll have to weld some part up and was looking to make sure I am welding them in the right place. I need pictures of both sides driver and passenger where they latch on the bumper as well as the actual latch mechanism. Thanks in advance. 0BE4053E-1952-4920-AE23-6F939093C96D.jpg

It’s the one on the left that I think might be an odd ball extra.

I am thinking you might be right.

Just went and looked. Unless it lives in the capped pivot point/spindle, I didn't see anything that matched up with it.

It does look like a slight variation of the catch for the swingout latch, but almost like it would mount proud (on the face) of the bumper rather then on top of it like the other one does.

I even crawled underneath to check and see if it was a support for the spindle.

Was this one of the unfinished bumpers sold off when Pelfrey crashed and burned?

Yeah I just got it from BAMF. He had like 12 sitting around. Might be a random part they had or for another bumper looks to be the only difference is the pointed part.

Do you have the rest of the parts? Spindle, tire carrier etc, release parts for the latch and the hold open for the gate?

If the price was right, it looks like an interesting welding project.

Pretty much all the parts besides the spindle and the hold open pins. I’ll have to source them but yeah he sold them for 1k plus shipping. So it was a great deal.

Sounds like a pretty damn good deal.
Curious to see if you can source the rest of the bits. Be nice to know where to get them as I have no idea where to get parts if I need them.

Glad to see someone else hoped on that deal!! Thanks for the up close pictures, TW never ceases to amaze.

Also @tacotruck93 yea that’s an extra odd ball part and you can find that same spindle off Amazon for only $50.

You can buy all 3 of the parts you need, spindle, long pin, short pin, and even the spare tire mounting plate from EMS Offroad’s Amazon page.

Can I ask a favor, how long is that rubber stopper attach to the latch point and about how thick is that plastic? spacer screwed into the latch point?

Rubber stopper is 1x1" and the little HDPE plastic bit is 1/4" and abt 1" wide and 1 1/2" long.
