I just bought these rock sliders for my 2017 TRD Pro and the directions they came with are very vague and not helpful at all...Has anyone installed these on a 3rd gen Tacoma?? Please let me know ASAP!!!

Bolt on or weld on? Bolt ons you need to notch the pinch weld on the bottom under the door and drill holes in the frame. Weld on, notch pinch weld and weld slider to frame.

If I remember you'll have to move some line thats in the way around the slider or something, don't quote me on it.

    Very descriptive...

Their directions are very confusing until you realize the parts/lingo they are describing. I did mine but never done a 3rd gen.

Are you going to do the welds? I would think they would be easier to install.

2016-2017 TACOMA 79″ BOLT ON SLIDERS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Sliders should be prepped and painted or powder coated prior to installation for best results. Mask mounting areas from paint or powder. Please Note: Certain model years may have a frame rivet or two toward the rear that needs to be ground flush prior to installation. Certain 2016+ models will need to drill (2) holes per side for mounting, do to variations from Toyota Factories. The driver’s side of the frame has 2 brake line clips that must be pulled away from the frame to allow for the large front nut plate to be inserted into the forward boxed area of the frame. The rear brake line clip will be reinstalled using the supplied 1” brake line spacer. This will be bolted to the frame using the hole that is was clipped into and the supplied ¼” screw and washer.
There are 6 bolts per side. The front two bolts go thru the frame to the large nut plate (2 nuts) One per side goes to the rectangular nut plate that fits inside the front cross member. 2 | Page The other 3 nut plates make up the remainder. The rear mounting points will use the C channel reinforcement brackets. The large nut plates for the front are side specific as well. The rear uses the small c channel plates. The factory flange bolt that is on the bottom of the frame will be replaced with the supplied flange bolt that is longer and higher strength.

There are only so many ways that the sliders will fit on. The instructions should be pretty damn clear with the sliders laying on the ground next to the vehicle. If you can't figure it out from there take it to a shop. To be perfectly honest, it sounds like you're in over your head. Take a step back and seriously reconsider if you're capable of installing those. Good luck with whichever route you choose.
