This is my first post on here but im a long time consumer of all you guys opinions. I recently got into an accident that resulted in a less than appealing front stock bumper and decided to go ahead and go with a aftermarket plate bumper. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with either Pelfreybilt or DeMello and which one I should go with. Thanks.

image.jpg I chose Demello over Pelfreybilt because I just liked the look of the Demello better. Either way, I think both bumpers are quality built and reliable and you can't go wrong with whatever one you pick. It comes down to looks I think. Pelfreybilt has the light bar option, but I'm pretty sure if you call up Demello, they'll be able to cut that out for you instead of the "DO" in the front. I have not dealt with the guys at Pelfreybilt, but I know the guys at Demello are top notch with working with you. From the front desk to the guys in the shop, they're all willing to help out or give you some advise.

Also, here's my Demello and how my truck looks now, just to help out.

How far does the DeMello stick out adjacent to the grille, and do you know if it's closer or further than the Pelfreybilt?

Pelfrey 100%...I've had both. Pelfrey is a better product in my eyes, plus you get the best customer service I've ever seen.

From what I've seen in here, both vendors are pretty highly regarded. I'd go with whichever one you think looks coolest! For me, thats the demello with three hoops, but the pelfrey bumpers are sharp lookin too.

Both excellent bumpers. I had the demello over the Pelfrey based on the internal bracing system and the way it was designed. I have a roof rack mounted light bar so no need for one in bumper. If you don't plan on a roof rack go Pelfrey. Good luck. Both excellent fabricators. Also check out brute force fabrication.

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
I picked Demello because I really like the 3 hoop look. Also I got it for a steal.20151108_103705.jpg

If weight is a concern, Pelfreybilt offers an aluminum option for their front bumper. I'm not sure if Demello does.

But the current steel has the same internal bracing but the uprights are 1/2in thick instead of 1in thick.

This may be the tipping point, pushing me over the edge to go with a new bumper. how much coin is this going to dent my wallet?

Great now I need to buy a new bumper... Are the weight savings significant?
