In 2016 I decided I was going to give up on my 2007 FJ Cruiser and replace it with a Tacoma. I decided I'd give up the off-road capability of my beloved yellow (sunfusion) monster and get something more practical I could actually drag the family around with, even on long trips. But I still wanted to go off-roading occasionally, so I figured the Taco could still scratch that itch, albeit perhaps not as well as a heavily modded FJ.

I decided to go with a TRD Pro trim. I justified that by telling myself I wasn't going to mod it much, so it should be capable off the lot. Told my wife that, too. Anyway. Mods so far, in chronological order:
    • ARB differential breather kit
    • SSO Hybrid bumper, lights, Warner Zeon Platnum 10S winch
    • Ditch lights.
    • sPOD switch
    • Mobtown sliders
    • Softtopper
    • BudBuilt full skid set
    • OVTune
    • CB and Ham radios
    • Snorkel
    • King coilovers and shocks
    • SPC UCAs
    • Deaver Add-a-leaf
    • 255/85R16 Cooper ST Maxx tires
More mods to come, I'm sure (but not much more).
