Canada seems like a good catch-all subforum. Nothing useful goes on there anyways and OZ needs some excitement in his life. He's been posting the same picture all over the place. It's kind of sad really.

Amazing that people actually get pissed for not getting positive rep. Who cares. It's mildly retarded at best.

As far as the sanctions, I"m fine with them. It was a severe crime which was deserving of severe punishment to show that the football program isn't above all else which is why they were in this position to begin with. Sure, it sucks that there is collateral damage, namely the effects on current players, I really do feel bad for the players and students who had nothing to do with it. Unfortunately, there's not many penalties that could have been put on the program that wouldn't have effected these people in one way or the other. There are more important things in life, far more worse than (assuming they don't transfer) having to play for a shitty division 1 football program.

And while I haven't really read it here, I've heard a lot of people bitching about the NCAA saying they have no right to be involved, which I absolutely disagree with. PSU is a member of an organization which won't tolerate such things from their members. No different than the NFL having a code of conduct for it's players and can punish them for legal issues that have nothing to do with football. Regardless if one agrees with these exact sanctions I don't really see how people can try and make the argument that the NCAA doesn't have the right to punish it's members.

I'd been here a year before I even realized there was a rep system.

And another six months how to view mine.

(Still working on whether to care or not. I'll get back to you)
