Do they know when it’s going to open? That’s where the School of Rock does most of their shows, we’ve been doing them mostly at the school in the mean time which is a little cramped.

I had a very bad day today...

Two of my Neon Tetras died a few weeks ago without me realizing and decomposed, which made the ammonia levels in my tank skyrocket and kill my pleco. Without the pleco keeping algae in check, it only took about a week for my tank get really disgusting. I came home from work today to find one of my four remaining Neons dead. I removed all of the fish and changed most of the water in the tank.

I kept five of the fish in a large pitcher which has a poor design for emptying back into a tank. So, I transferred them into the pitcher I use for emptying and filling the tank. I did this over the kitchen sink, which was full of water. One of my Glofish Tetras jumped out during the transfer, and landed in the sink. I exclaimed "Oh !" because I was startled, but didn't panic for long because after all the tank was mostly full of old tank water that these fish had been living in for weeks. My Glofish are generally really docile and easy to catch, but this guy was flapping all over the place. I attempted to scoop him up with a plastic cup and realized with absolute horror that the water was HOT! It was not boiling water, obviously. It was probably about the temperature I take a shower in, but to a tropical fish barely larger than a quarter, it was almost instantaneous death. The reason the poor little guy was swimming around so frantically is because he was being scalded inside and out!

By the time I scooped the fish out, he had already passed on, and he got a one-way trip on the porcelain express.

I planned on transferring all four Glofish to my 30-gallon once I get it set up and cycled, and I am absolutely devastated that I essentially boiled one of my pets alive. It was a total accident, but I love all my pets like members of the family, whether they bark or swim.

Underage drinking laws are a crock of shit. Everybody in the world (except maybe Iranians born in the laat forty years, because the ayatollah is a bunch of shitheads who banned mere alcohol consumption) has drank underage before, including myself!

I do not condon underage drinking at all. One of my former friends (who was 23 at the time) hung around with kids as young 14. A guy and a girl, both aged 14, were hanging out at his house. They found out I was 21, and immediately askend if could buy them beer. My response was "Are you fucking serious?!?!"

My idiot former friend wanted them to hang out, but they correctly assumed that I did not want them around and showed themselves out. The 14-year old girl was also hitting on my other friend, who was 19 at the time.

My friend whose house it was had the balls to get mad at me for telling his underage friends my age. This cute girl, who I assumed was at least 20, asked me how old I was and I saw it as a harmless question and told her I was 21. Either she or he friend then asked me if I could buy them booze.

Anyway, as a libertarian, two of the things I want are smaller government and less rules.

So many of my friends have lost their licenses for underage drinking when they weren't even driving. I think the law comes down too hard on offenses relating to underage drinking.

Back in 2012, one of my friends got pulled over simply for being a young girl driving a shitty '92 Saturn late at night. She got a DUI for a BAC of .02, less than a month before her 21st birthday. She lost her license for six months and had to pay about $10,000 in various fines and fees.

A few weeks later and the officer would have sent her on her way...

My personal trainer told me how she got arrested at age 20 for riding a wave runner after drinking. If she'd been 21, she would have gotten a few tickets relating to reckless boating, but she wouldn't have been arrested.

The Bucks County Courthouse falls under the jurisdiction of the Sheriff's Department.

I regularly walk my boss's dog on the vast expanse of grass in front of the courthouse , and sometimes I don't pick up after her when she poops.

    :brianr:

That deputy shouldn't have embellished the truth in order to get that cop to write me a ticket!
