    Reading is FUNdamental.

"The automaker is recalling 345,451 of its 2020-2022 Ford Escape and 2021-2022 Ford Bronco Sport vehicles with 1.5L engines because the engine oil separator housing could crack and develop an oil leak that might cause an engine fire."

I guess it is. The sport and the Bronco are not the same thing. Maybe they should have put a picture of a Sport on there instead of a Bronco, since the Bronco is not included as your bold words attest. Writing to their audience I suppose.

Do you also confuse the Toyota Rav4 and the Toyota 4Runner? According to your logic, or lack of, it would be fine to use a picture of a 4Runner in an article about a Rav4 because their names are similar. Both start with Toyota, both have a 4 in there. Same same, right?

If you can't tell the difference in a picture of a Sport and a 2 dr Bronco, there really is no reason to continue the discussion. The article is about the Sport. Not the 2dr Bronco which is pictured, but I guess for non car guys, it doesn't matter. A cars a car, right?

I'm no Bronco expert so no, I couldn't differentiate between the Bronco trims. I never even looked at the picture. I simply posted a link to an article that I read & thought relevant to this Bronco discussion thread.

    Well

OK, it's not. It's also not a difference in trim, unless all Toyotas are the same, just different trims. Sport is a compact unibody SUV that only comes in 4dr. Bronco is a body on frame midsize SUV that comes in either 2 or 4 door with removable top. They don't share anything in common, other than being made by Ford. Now you know.

I guess I get it. To a lot of people, anything made by Jeep is a Jeep, regardless of what model it actually is. Lot of people just drive a vehicle and don't really care to know much about them.

This was the first stick shift Bronco that I saw in the wild, at the Carlisle Truck Nationals last August...

This one was also at the Truck Nationals, but like most of the Broncos I've seen, it's automatic...

I saw this base model 4-door in the parking lot at the same car show; Couldn't tell if it was automatic or stick shift...
