As with other virtually identical Chevrolet/GMC products, Jimmy 2WDs are far less common than their Blazer counterparts...

I spotted this one in the spectator lot at a car show, and my best guess is that it's a 2000-2001 or so...

    A 1998-2001 GMC Jimmy SLE 4-door 2WD...

Blazer production continued until 2005, but Jimmy production ended 4 years earlier, in 2001...

I particularly love the look of a 2-door Jimmy in red!

The 4-doors also look pretty good...

I used to have a model of this exact Jimmy when I was a kid, in 1998 or so. There is just something about a red 1995-2001 Jimmy that appeals to me!

The owner of this 1996 SLE 4x4 was actually drag racing it at Raceway Park...

And yes, it does have a factory G80 locking rear!

I miss my parents' '04 Honda Odyssey...

Also, I think the Astro is more than just a mere "minivan."

I love this style of OEM wheels!

Here, we have a green 4-door 4x4 in base SL trim. Aside from the non-matching right rear wheel, and damage to the left side of the rear bumper that appears to be from backing into a pole or a tree, this Jimmy is in decent shape!

By 1995-1997, the Jimmy had three trim levels; SL, SLS, SLE, and SLT. The SL was the base model, obviously. Features like air-conditioning, intermittent wipers, and an AM/FM radio became standard across the board with the 1995 redesign. It was possible to get an SL with features like cruise control and tilt steering, as well as a cassette player. I am unsure about power windows and power door locks...

The silver Jimmy shown in this picture has the SLS trim. The SLS was marketed as the sporty model, and I'm pretty sure feature like power windows and power locks were standard (not 100% sure though).

The SLE and SLT were the top two trims, and the only major different between them was that the SLT came with leather seats...

To date, this has been the only 1995-1997 GMC Jimmy 2WD I've ever photographed!

This one has the standard SL trim...

    I lied...

That blue SL is the only stock 2WD 1995-1997 Jimmy I've photographed! Also of note is that this red one has the SLS trim...

By the way, I'm not entirely sure what the owner was going for when he did this to the front end!

I took a close look at it just 10 minutes ago and think he was trying to emulate the front end of a 1971-1972 Chevelle SS...

    What do you think?

    A full-size Blazer?

From 1992-1994, the full-size Blazer was called just that, Blazer (The Yukon replaced the Jimmy in 1992). In 1995, GM released a shortened version of the Suburban (Tahoe for Chevrolet; the Yukon nameplate continued for GMC). Also for 1995, the Blazer name was dropped and it became a 2-door Tahoe. The 2-door Tahoe was in production form 1995-1999.
