    The only good part of the Sterling was the engine, which came from Honda. The rebadged Land Rover obviously had a Rover V8, which was a total turd...

    And yet, (maybe due to Camel Trophy) I yearn for a 98 Disco 1 with a diesel and a manual.

    And only Rover would make a Honda unreliable...

    My dad had one of those when I was a kid. 4 seats. Super easy to shift. The exhaust kept rusting out; the shop that sold him an exhaust with a lifetime warranty lost out on that deal. :rofl:

    Funny exhaust story..the main pipe on my 2010 Tacoma had a rust hole last fall that I had replaced. The exhaust lasted longer than the frame without rotting!

    There was one just like that in green in my last neighborhood. Spotted it the day I moved in, and about 3 months later I finally decided to go knock on the door. It was gone, they scrapped it. Still haven’t stopped kicking myself for not going over there sooner. :(
