some state(s) allow people to carry without a license
either way, it may not help as much if the person carrying is sound asleep while a thief is quietly hot-wiring the car in the distance in a parking lot
unless it's parked inside a home garage

Yup my grandpa lives there, used to leave his Silverado around with keys in the ignition all the time and doors unlocked. Only thing that was ever taken from him was a pair of ray ban wayfair sunglasses on his dash

I replaced all of my ac components as well. Currently have 165,000 and it's nice and cold. Even in this crazy Texas heat!

I kept trying to respond from my phone last night but I couldn't because it is a picture only thread. I thought it was this thread so I was really confused until I went back to my desktop and looked at the notification just now!

I changed mine at 246k. I screwed up. I changed it because I had thought the clutch went out. It hadn't, it was the master cylinder -which I had just changed at 212k (so I didn't expect it to fail). Anyway, I went ahead and put the new clutch in since it was all apart. I measured the old clutch ---- it was still within factory new specs! Dang it!!

I've done some calculations, and it would appear that I am going to hit 100K either driving to or driving home from the Carlisle Truck Nationals!

Toyota takes an a/c, builds a truck around it, and calls it a Tacoma.

I’m curious as why it was only cold out one side and not both. Was a blend door stuck somewhere?

WOW, what would you advise to make a clutch last as long as yours did?

P.S. - Thank you for your service to this country!

120K on my 11 6 speed and I tow with it the old 97 4 cylinder had the original when I sold it at close to 300K. I'll add the tacomas were not the only ones with high miles my daily commute for many years was 100 miles and I never had clutch issues on any of them.

She’s sitting at 110k on the original and has been run hard for all those miles.
Chirping TOB has me on the fence on replacement. We’ll see how much I can squirrel away this fire season.

Mine does it, too, as have other vehicles I’ve had. Either turn your temp control to add a little warmth (this generally only occurs in the morning or when cloudy, humid, mild temps) or try something called “backer rod”. It is a foam rod of various diameter thickness. It is primarily used to fill voids to be caulked or patched over. The temp control is a lot simpler.
