    Too few to list.
Maybe Toyota is demonstrating that you don't need to have just one brand of plugs in your engine. You can have all different ones in all six cylinders!

Off topic but I'm curious Charlie, when you idle for 30 minutes with A/C on does the compressor get really hot?

Its been around forever. My 2001 had both. Both companies (Denso and NGK) are Japanese, I believe, so I'm sure there are politics behind it.

Yes, A/C compressor will get hot when idling.

    Like 'too' hot?
Everyone I know that does this on a rear wheel drive vehicle eventually blows up their compressor and it shits the bed of the whole system. I think you need a set of electric fans.

I've never seen anyone blowup an A/C and not sure what 2wd has to do with it. Your fan clutch should be engaged when the A/C is on. If not, it will overheat and blow. No need for E-fans.

If you constantly idle, consider getting vents for your hood?

on my '13 4.0, V6 there are two nuts on the top of the plastic cover that have to be removed. They may be the same size as the 10mm needed to remove the coil pack. The cover should pull straight forward after removal. 2.7 liter motors are more simple to change and shouldn't take much more than 30 minutes.

I run Bosch Iridium plugs in my V6. The V6s call for shitty copper plugs but the 4cyls call for the normal iridium.

As long as you buy a compatible spark plug it really doesn’t matter what you get. They all work just as well.

Late to the party but when was the last time the plugs were changed? I gained an easy 7mpg after changing mine.

Ask at city service garages how often their (our) vehicles crap out from all the idling, especially A/C and more so RWD because the fan does very little at idle. Even working corrrectly.

Consider opening the hood if sitting. Seriously we just opened one that was black inside.

These trucks just don’t get good fuel mileage. I just towed a 12ft trailer from Florida to Nova Scotia. Keeping in 4 instead of D, I got 200 miles/tank. What an expensive drive. I only get 240 miles per tank not towing and tranny in D.

So, I am in Carlisle for the weekend...

I left the fairgrounds to check into my hotel, and when I came out of the hotel to move the truck into a parking space, this happened...

The parking brake was not on. In parking lots, I will generally shift into drive and let the truck move under its own power. When I shifted into drive, the truck did not move for several seconds.

I think it's an electronic/sensor issue rather than a problem with the transmission itself. I talked to someone at the truck show and he thinks the same thing. My dad says I probably have nothing to worry about. Another friend of mine thinks I might be low on transmission fluid.

My truck has literally just over 102K miles and the transmission fluid was changed (and flushed) last year. The truck drove fine for the rest of the day and is currently safely parked in the hotel parking lot as I write this.

During the time it was NOT moving, were you ever pressing the gas pedal?
Or were you letting it “idle” and trying to have it roll under its own power?

When you did get it to move, did it jerk or jump it to gear?
Or did it seem to take off normally?

Just asking so we can get all the information we can to help you.

It did not jerk or jump. It's as if it was in park and the computer or something didn't register. All of sudden it started rolling...
