I posted a thread asking LEOs their opinion on the Amber Guyger case out of Texas; Within a minute, people were saying it would be blocked; I deleted the entire original message and changed the thread title to "DELETE"; Another few seconds, and it was totally gone...

Keep in mind that I have a degree in journalism, and my goal was to take a neutral standpoint.

So maybe I didn't do anything wrong, but it was a bad idea on my part...

So read this post and then respond...

As you know, I just do not like dealing with police. I understand that they have a job to do, but I just prefer to keep to myself and avoid contact with them unless absolutely necessary. My parents says that they key to avoiding contact with police is to obey the law. This is a no-brainer. However, when police set up DUI checkpoints, innocent drivers who have done nothing wrong are forced into contact with police. Explain to me how this is right...?

 

Could care less, do you also get all huffy and puffy of going through metal detectors when you go to a court house or federal building?

 

Those I understand, as do I understand the importance of the ones at airports. It's the ones at hockey games and car shows that piss me off.

 

How's Oregon? I hear it's liberal, but maybe not as bad as California?
