I think that'd be cool, not sure if I've seen one before. I would spin it as X-runner rather than 5lug and you might have a shot

I bought a new 19 tacoma 2.7l. Because I am hoping to get 300k out of it. Of course there are no guarantees but doing the maintenance, and appropriate driving style can certainly help....

Did anybody ever dissect a frog in school? I did this in 7th grade, when we were living in Oak Harbor while my dad was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island.

The frogs arrived long dead and preserved in formaldehyde (me and two classmates believed the frogs had been gassed, but nobody knew for sure), so I had no qualms about doing an autopsy. Frogs and toads are among my favorite creatures, however. When my Pacman Frog died in May or June 2009, I buried him in a box in the backyard and did not dissect him. When numerous fish died over the years, I simply gave them a one-way ride on the porcelain express (I did the same with my two African Dwarf Frogs, as they were small enough. I got the African Dwarfs as a birthday present in 2006, and I believe the sole survivor lived until 2012 or so, which amazed me!

I was not grossed out in the slightest by dissecting a frog, and I actually thought it was cool, but I saw it as disrespectful to dissect my pets (even the fish). We also dissected earthworms, owl pellets, and chicken wings in my 7th grade biology class.

The African Dwarf Frogs were Aquababies, and they came in one of those little plastic cubes with rocks and a plant in it.

Also, my friend and former teacher almost killed the aforementioned African Dwarf Frogs when I entrusted her to watch them while I was on vacation in early 2009.This was when I was in the special ed class at the Bucks County IU #22, which at that time was held in the basement of a nursing home; I handed them off to her two days before I went on vacation because it was easier, and she surprised the whole class by bringing them in to show them. When she brought them in, however, they were in a catatonic state. I briefly thought they were dead, and I immediately gave her a "WTF?!?!" look. I wouldn't have gotten borderline homicidal like I did when the drunk old man hit my truck, but if she'd killed my frogs I would have at least expected her to buy me new ones. Turns out they weren't dead, and the excuse my teacher gave me was that she had the central heat in her house turned down really low and this must have put them in the catatonic state. My teacher's house is the late 1950s rancher with oil baseboard heat, and she keeps the thermostat in the low sixties. She is know for being stingy with the heat and A/C use, so I believed her.

Only recently (like in 2018 or 2019) did her teenaged daughter tell me that the real reason my frogs almost died was because her mom forgot to take them out of them out of her minivan when she got home, and only remembered they were there when she'd already driven back to the nursing home the next morning (hence the reason she brought them in). This happened in March of 2009, so it got fairly chilly in that van overnight.

The frogs ended up living well past what I thought was their normal lifespan, and the last one had been dead for something like seven years when her daughter spilled the beans. I obviously let it go.

However, one of my biggest pet peeves is when people stretch the truth because they think the truth will end up pissing me off. In actuality, they end up pissing me off by lying when I probably would have been fine if they'd just told me the truth.

A perfect example of someone lying really badly in an attempt to distract me would be this one time in June 2008 when everyone on my mom's side of the family chipped to rent a beach house in Virginia Beach for a family reunion. My cousin had been dating this guy since 2007 or so, and they decided to get married (they have been married more than 10 years now, by the way, and have three beautiful kids). I been unfortunate enough to fracture my elbow in a freak accident involving a clothes hamper in May 2008, and was still recovering. Under doctor's orders, I was not allowed to go in the water during heavy waves (I ended up blatantly disobeying these orders). I was relaxing in the house, and I decided I wanted to go out on the back deck. My cousin's future husband and her dad (my uncle) were on the back deck. My cousin appeared out of nowhere and started going out of her way to keep me from going out on the back deck. She only succeeded in making me angry, because I could not see what the problem was, and I wanted to go out on the back deck no matter what. I forget exactly what she said to me, but it was very poorly phrased and only succeeded in making me want to go out there even more. If my cousin had asked me to come downstairs and help her with something, I would have gladly gone, but she made it so blatantly obvious she was trying to distract me that I just decided to disobey her and go on the back porch anyway. My cousin was forced to tell me that her future husband was asking her dad for permission to marry her in order to keep me from going on the back deck, and made me promise to keep it a secret until she and her fiancé formally announced it later.

Another example would be this time when my aunt was going through some personal problems in late 2005. My dad was on the phone with his mother discussing this. I had been upstairs in my room playing video games, and I attempted to go downstairs to refill my glass of water. My mom physically blocked the stairs and told me I couldn't go downstairs, but wouldn't tell me why. This only succeeded in making me angry, because all I wanted was some water. All my mom would tell me was that my dad and Grammy were having a private phone conversation, but wouldn't say about what. I ended up throwing a fit and forcing my way past mom to get some water.

The majority of people with autism, especially aspies, tend to have above average intelligence. Most of us can smell bullshit from a mile away. Some of us handle being blatantly bullshitted better than others, and I am typically in the latter group.

The moral of the story? If you're gonna bullshit me, at least do it properly! My teacher actually did a good job of bullshitting me, because I believed her story and didn't find out the truth until a decade later when her daughter spilled the beans!

Bizarre that you brought up dissecting frogs in high school as I was just talking about it with my ex gf last week.

Right, I am guessing it was around 7th grade, reason I said high school was because it was all basically the same building.

My middle school was just a middle school. I've never been to a school where middle school and high school were in the same building. Also, are you married?

It was pretty wild as there was a underground tunnel connecting the buildings, we used the same lunch room, gym, and outdoor fields.

Yes it was, we merged with another high school in my senior year and they tore down the old one a couple years ago.

One of the reasons I hate things like DUI checkpoints and have a bit of a problem with authority...

The ratio of pissed off innocent people to legit bad people is ridiculous!
