Blood doesn't gross me out, nor does the sight of a dead body. However, I have never actually smelled a decomposing human body before (plenty of roadkill though). I have seen some images of people who were horribly mutilated in car accidents, and it didn't really gross me out. However, I have a feeling that if I saw severely injured body or witnessed a violent death it would be a different story.

I've touched dead bodies twice, once at Body Worlds when it came to the Franklin Institute back in 2006, and then out of curiosity I touched my Grandpa's hand while he was lying in the casket at the viewing. My biological paternal Grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer in late 2005 or early 2006 and the chemo worked great at first, but then it spread to his liver and he passed away in November 2007. I miss Pop-Pop dearly, but to be honest I cried a lot more when we put my year-old rescue dog to sleep this past July.

I’ve smelled enough decomposing bodies in the hot desert sun that it wouldn’t even bother me now

I would not want a vehicle that a dead body decomposed in, or that somebody died violently in. Back in the 1980s, my uncle got an AMC of some sort (I believe it was a Rebel Machine) really cheap, even for a muscle car in the 1980s. He later found out that the seller's son had committed suicide in the car by gassing himself to death. He cracked a window and ran a garden hose from the exhaust pipe into the car. My uncle was not really fazed by this revelation, but he still tends to not hold onto vehicles for very long, and ended up selling the car for a profit.

My dashcam caught a douchebag in all his glory!

This idiot didn't secure his load properly and then fled because he thought his load had hit my truck (luckily it didn't)...

The suspect vehicle is a green 1989-1995 Toyota pickup. The item that fell off was a large bed frame. The items you see falling off before the bed are bits of plastic wrap; I did not know what these were at first, so I slammed on the brakes out of reflex.

What an asshat that guy was, one night a guy dumped a trailer load of wooden pallets right in front of me. Probably 50 of them completely blocking the road, grabbed a pair of gloves and started moving pallets off the road, another vehicle pulled behind my truck and started helping until we cleared the road.

I'm willing to bet he was uninsured...

If you watch the video closely, you can also see him toss a cigarette out the window right before he loses his load.

Looked like he kinda stepped on the throttle before he lost the load too.

He was just being an idiot there, or was he...? :spy:

Certainly an impressive way to get rid of unwanted furniture if he did it on purpose; It would have ended very badly for him in more ways than one if that bed frame had hit my truck though!

Also, I'm surprised that that the bureaucrats at YouTube didn't block the video for copyright content. I have dashcam footage of me handling a DUI checkpoint like a boss, but the audio is muted because I was blasting "Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Great White...

Yeah I have heard a lot of complaints with YouTube recently, people getting demonetized and different crap.

I was only beeping at him to get his attention. If he's anything like me, he could have had his stereo blasting and didn't hear the bed frame fall out. I legitimately think he thought his load had hit my truck, which tells you something about his character...

If the frame had hit my truck, I would have chased him down, and it might very well have been a repeat of that tweaker incident when you were teaching your wife to drive!

And they're requiring people to use voiceovers in their videos, which has utterly ruined some of the dashcam footage compilations I liked to watch...

Back in 2006 or 2007, my Grandma was driving at night with her friend and the friend's grandson in her 2002 Lexus RX300. There was a pickup truck towing a boat in front of her. All of a sudden, a piece of metal fell off of the boat and ended up impaling my Grandma's Lexus right between one of the rear doors and the rear fenders (I believe it was the left side, but I don't remember). My Grandma pulled to the side of the road, as did the guy towing the boat. My Grandma called the police, and the police showed up, but the driver of the truck pulling the boat hadn't come back yet. The boat was still up ahead. At some point, somebody (either one of the cops or the friend's grandson) went to check on the other driver. Turns out the other driver had disconnected the trailer from his truck and driven off, without my grandma noticing! That shit wouldn't have happened if I'd been in the car that night. Luckily, my grandma had really good insurance (she might have even paid out of pocket). A body shop did a great job fixing the Lexus, and she drove it for 13 more years.
