Those old straight 6's pulled pretty strongly though. My Dad also had one of these for a few years prior to getting the van, he built a platform in the center for me and my sister to sit on.

Principal Milty's station wagon, as seen in The Nurses' Strike (Season 2, episode 4; Originally aired March 10th, 2002); The car resembles a mishmash of 1970s and and 1980s (perhaps even late 1960s) American-made landyachts (mostly a Ford or Mercury, but given the time period of the series, we'll just say it's a 1991 Ford Country Squire or Mercury Colony Park (1991 was the last year for station wagon versions of the Crown Vic and Grand Marquis)...

Hey Arnold! was my favorite Nicktoon ever, and even though it was set in the late 1990s, main character Helga Pataki's wealthy beeper salesman father drove a 1969 Lincoln Continental...

In addition to the Lincoln, Big Bob Pataki also had a 1990s Hummer for special occasions...

And you're gonna love this one...

Arnold's best friend's older brother drove a 1970 Pontiac Trans Am!

Never saw that except for a Scooby Doo crossover...

Speed Buddy could be remotely driven, right? And ironically the guy driving does look like Shaggy from Scooby Doo!

I thought his car that I posted in that picture did a couple things, but I could be wrong.

In the 1990s made-for-TV movies, the Mystery Machine is immediately recognizable as a a Chevy Astro or GMC Safari...

These pictures are from 1999's Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost, and the first picture is from the final battle scene where the van goes up against the titular witch's ghost...

Earlier in the movie, it looks more like a 1991-1995 Dodge Caravan...

In 1998's Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, there is one scene where the Mystery Machine is specifically identifiable as a 1995 Chevy Astro, because it has a detailed 1990-1994 interior, but it has the 1996-2005 front end. Only 1995 had the new front end and the old interior/dashboard!

Here's a screengrab from Zombie Island...

Do you think it more closely resembles an Astro or a Caravan?

We were talking about early Dodge Dakotas the other day...

This is another vehicle from Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. The person who posted the pictures on IMCDb says they think it's a Ford Ranger. I see some hints of 1982-1988 Ford Ranger, but I think it more closely resembles a 1987-1990 Dodge Dakota...

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

In the last photo, it definitely looks more like an early Ranger. Also, it's probably been about eighteen years since I've seen this movie, but I do believe the hot gypsy chick driving the gray truck turned out to be a bad guy...

In Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders, which I'm pretty sure I've never seen, IMCDb does specifically identify it as a 1995 Astro...

This movie came out in 2000, so the van would have only been five years old...
