    They've already done it for free once, including replacing the wheel bearing they didn't break in the first place.

    Does anyone think that something within the axle should be replaced? The diff fluid was changed earlier this year.

    You mean the Toyota Corporate people or the Toyota dealership people?

    Never been to a good dealership. They're independently owned so their goal is to make themselves money. But Toyota Corporate is responsible for who they license to sell and maintain they're vehicles. If Joe Shmo falsified, lied or failed on their responsibility under the Toyota license, Toyota Corporate will mitigate for you.

    That's what I'm going to do if they eff it up this time. This will effectively be their third strike.

    Let's not forget that in 2018 I brought the truck to this dealer for state inspection and someone forgot to latch the hood all the way; The hood started bouncing up and down as I merged onto the highway and scared the crap out of me...

    Is that on record at all? Either way, bring that up as well. They will love to hear this.

    That's not on record, and unfortunately I don't think I have the dashcam footage any longer...

    They're going to fix my truck and not buy it back, right? I love my truck!

    No reason to buy it back, the truck was fine until now. I doubt they would anyway with the age and mileage. Not that your truck is really that old or worn, but they would usually only honor buybacks around the first 25k or so.

    I also don't want to nuke this dealer's reputation. I just want my truck fixed! This dealer has always provided excellent customer service; They just charge obscene amounts of money!

    I mean, if you don't slander them on the internet, im sure no one will even know your situation. Bottom line is though, doesn't matter how good the rep is or how it should be maintained, someone broke your truck, now their on the hook to fix it.

    I haven't slandered anybody on the internet. I nuked BJ's Tire Center in Warrington, PA on Yelp and TW a couple years ago after they did about $400 damage to my truck during a routine tire replacement and refused to own it. I only speak the truth in my reviews!

    @LivinOnEdge

    Also, this same dealer quoted me $361 per headlight a while back; I worked at another dealership for ten months and was able to get a pair of headlights for like $206! My original headlights had turned yellow and let moisture in...

    Other members are saying I should take it to Toyota Corporate...

    I'm going away for like a week, so I'm bringing the truck in next Monday afternoon.

    The initial blown seal seems to have been caused by a "notched" wheel bearing; The second one was caused by the tech not replacing the "notched" bearing (or bothering to notify his supervisor), and as a result the dealer ate the cost of a new wheel bearing and axle seal; I have no idea what caused this one...
