IDK. But my '08 VW GTI run like shit on everything but BP. It would sputter and stall on Exxon and Shell. It was really annoying to have to drive around to find a BP station.

I would still prefer not to have a house with a septic tank; My dad has actually walked away from really nice houses because they had a septic tank and/or a well.

One obnoxious thing about wells is that if the power goes out and you don’t have a backup generator, you can’t flush the toilets, use the sinks, or take a shower or bath.

    I guess a 4-banger pickup doesn’t have a picky appetite...

My truck has been running on Shell and Lukoil most of its life. Now I almost exclusively fill up at the Sparta because they’re the cheapest in town; I’d never heard of Sparta before that particular location on Route 611 opened. They seem to be a Wawa competitor.

The life of a septic system depends on various factors. The construction of the tank; is it made of steel or concrete (there may be other options but those are the systems I have experienced). Then there is the construction of the drain field. Then there is the soil the drain field is in.

To stay on topic. Steel septic tanks rust out. Concert tanks do not.

Yes, I have a bit of a lead foot at times...

My truck came with 215/70R15s; I run 225/70R15s now.

Using Premium is nothing but a waste of money if the engine is tuned to run on Regular.

I can ease up on the gas pedal, but does 225 really make that much of a difference over 215? I’ve been told it shouldn’t. Also, I hated the look of the 215s because I thought they were too small, and the only white letter 215s I could find are Cooper Cobras which would be horrible in the snow.

I ran aftermarket 16-inch wheels with 235/70R16s for about five and a half years, and I’d say my mileage was average to above average.

Years ago every gasoline company had there own uniformed drivers and logo branded trucks. In a cost saving mode they contacted out deliveries to trucking companies. Here on the east coast anyway!

    I couldn’t agree more...

The only time I ever put premium in my truck was by complete accident. This seems to be a trend with Lukoil; they put the button for 87 in the middle. I wasn’t paying attention and pushed the button for 93 because it was located where the 87 button was normally located. Lukoil is often overpriced compared to other brands, but whenever they are my only choice I pay attention to which button I’m pushing.

But how often does that happen in all reality? I can't see paying to get water from a city, it's in the ground for free!

Also, I would never buy a house with a well in my area because of the contamination from firefighting chemicals from the old military base.
