Here's a story bout how I wanted to say some not-so-nice things to a person...

This was sometime in mid-2014; I was helping out at Puck by doing up a sign with chalk markers if I remember correctly. I was the only one there, and I was wearing a Chase Utley T-shirt. For those of you don't live in my area, Chase Utley is the former second baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies, and he played for the Phillies from 2003 to 2015.

I am not a huge baseball fan, but I will go to any sporting event if somebody provides tickets, even if it's a non-Philly team. I'd wanted a Phillies shirt, and I bought an Utley #26 T-shirt. I was wearing the Utley shirt on this day, and the owner of some local independent magazine (I think that's what it was) happened to stop by Puck looking for the manager. He did not initially say this when he first showed up. The first thing he did was comment on my Chase Utley shirt, specifically how much he disliked Chase Utley and that in no certain terms said I was an idiot for buying a shirt with his name and number on it. I had no intention of pounding the twerp, but I don't think he realized how big I was when he made his wiseass remake. I got up from what I was doing and started down at him, giving him a "Who are you and what the fuck are you doing here?" look. I think he realized he'd better better shut up if he knew what was good for him and got down to business. I was still pretty pissed at him for his unprovoked insult of my Phillies attire, so I didn't really pay attention to what he was saying, but he said that he ran a magazine or something, and that he was waiting for Puck to get back to him about an advertising arrangement. He stated that he believed the people at Puck didn't like him, and also said that a lot of people didn't like him because he was "too honest" in his magazine (What a surprise). I pretended to actually care until he left...

The saga of the Pug Lady...

The Pug Lady was one of the more annoying regulars at Puck, until she got banned (more on that later). She got her name because she always had her dog with her. The dog was incredibly friendly, but it got to the point where I would go out of my way to avoid her when I saw her because she was such a weirdo. The woman was probably in her fifties, and she was an alcoholic; She'd regularly show up at Puck and get loaded! She was obviously one of those people who was so lonely that she'd talk to anybody who paid attention to her, and had absolutely no concept of whether or not she was annoying the people she was talking to.

One night, she showed up with her dog, and got one of the bouncers to watch the dog under the assumption that she'd only be a little while. She ended up staying there over an hour and getting plastered, and I don't remember how she and her dog got home.

One time, she mentioned to me how the power window in her early 2000s Volvo C70 convertible didn't work; The fact that this woman hadn't lost her license for DUI was amazing to me, but I recommended my mechanic Pete to her. Pete used to be a Volvo mechanic at the local dealership. I gave her his number and the name of the shop, and she started calling him nonstop. It turns out that the window in the Volvo had gotten stuck down, and inside of the car had been exposed to the elements for over a year. She ended up scrapping the car because it was too far gone.

This woman came to Puck with her dog one time and got hammered on the patio. She ended up being cut off; As she was leaving she tripped over her dog and fell, getting injured. For weeks after this happened, she kept calling the club demanding a copy of the police report and saying she would sue us, until my boss told her that we would sue her if she kept calling. The calls stopped after that.
