Jasper’s truck more than likely does not have heat, seeing as it has no doors and appears to have been a door-to-door parcel delivery truck in a past life; As I’ve said, it seems to take a lot of styling cues from the Citroen 2CV but a brand like Bedford seems more likely...

 

Jasper’s truck has definitely seen better days...

 

I am 99% sure that the truck seen about halfway through the movie, and the truck the Dalmatians stow away on to escape Cruella and the badduns at the end of the movie, are the same truck...

 

Those headlights look like a couple of demon eyes...

 

The grille looks almost Rolls-Royce in appearance; Given that Cruella is a wealthy London socialite, it’s not that far-fetched that the animators took some of the styling cues of her car from an early postwar Rolls-Royce...

 

Again, driving around in the winter with the windows down while completely clad in fur...

 

Just minutes after this scene, Cruella will completely destroy her car in a climactic chase with a moving van. The way the roof separates from the car when she crashes into a tree indicates that the car is actually a convertible/roadster with a removable hardtop. In true British roadster fashion, it is entirely possible that Cruella’s does not have traditional glass windows...

 

From the rear, however, Cruella’s car looks like a coupe with a fully-attached roof...

 

The mechanic finishes repairing the moving van...

 

I would like to remind everyone that the original 101 Dalmatians takes place in England in 1961...

This means that pretty much any vehicle that isn’t brand new has manual steering, manual drum brakes, and a manual transmission; Consider that when you view the climactic chase at the end of the movie!

 

Cruella spots the Dalmatians in their sooty “Labrador” disguises...

 

And sounds the alarm on her horn; What’s weird is that Cruella’s car is shown to have an old bulb-style horn on the side, but she is shown to be beeping a traditional steering wheel-mounted horn in this scene...

As loud and obnoxious as Cruella is intended to be, I would not be shocked if they purposely gave her car two horns!

 

The van departs the quaint little town of Dinsford for London...

 

Cruella roars up on the lorry driver, who has absolutely no idea that a mother and father Dalmatian, their 15 puppies, and 84 more Dalmatian puppies, have stowed away in the back...

 

It because of this scene, and this scene alone, that the stereotype about women being bad drivers started...



Cruella rams the moving van with her car, and the completely clueless truck driver thinks it’s just a case of road rage, referring to Cruella as a “crazy woman driver” and attempting to go on his way...

 

Cruella ends up getting run off the road herself...
