Yours truly at Christmas circa 1991; I was born in March 1989, and we spent Christmas 1989 at our house in Milpitas, California. These pictures were taken in our house in North Wales, Pennsylvania; We moved there in like November 1990 and spent our last Christmas there in 1995. In my opinion I have too much hair for this to have been 1990 (When I would been three months shy of my second birthday). We spent Christmas 1992 at my Grandma's house in Connecticut, and I am way too young for this to have been 1993 so I guarantee with utmost certainty that this was 1991.





Another dead giveaway that this is not 1993 would be that there is a recliner in the corner next to the fireplace instead of my 10-gallon fish tank; The fish tank was a Christmas present from my Grandma that year, so if this were 1993 there'd be a fish tank on a bookshelf in that corner...

 

These were both taken in the North Wales house as well, I'm guessing also in 1991; It was not in 1992 because we spent Christmas at my Grandma's in Connecticut and I don't think we would have bothered to hang the stockings; It definitely was not 1993 because (A) I look way too young to be 4, and (B) the fish tank I got for Christmas in 1993 is not there.

Aside from the fact that the fireplace now has a louvered glass panel, the North Wales house hadn't changed much since 1991!

We spent Christmas at my aunt and uncle's house in California in 2001; Unfortunately I could not find any Christmas-specific photos, but I did find this picture of me helping my uncle change the spark plugs in his 1987 Isuzu Trooper during that same visit!

 

Christmas 2002; Our first Christmas at the house in Centreville, Virginia...

On or right after Christmas in 2005, at our house in Doylestown, playing with the R/C helicopters my dad and I got for Christmas; This may have been '06 but I am 99% sure it's '05...

 

This was definitely Christmas 2006 (also in the Doylestown house); That huge R/C 2007 Silverado was something that I specifically asked for that year (and I still have the thing somewhere)...

 

Christmas 2008; Second Christmas in the Furlong townhouse and first one with the fake tree...

 

Christmas 2008; My cousin and me at my Grandma's house in Bethlehem (We were 19 at the time; Both my learner's permit and the Tacoma were almost a year away)...

 

Christmas 2009 (less than three months after my dad bought the Tacoma; We spent Christmas morning at the townhouse in Furlong every year from 2007 through 2009); This picture seems weird, but the reason for it is that I was trying to show off three of my gifts at once...

Those gifts were were the pickup truck sweater (the trucks are arranged like the American flag, with tires in the upper corner representing "stars"), a pair of leather gloves, and a Nikon D3000 camera!

 

We spent Christmas 2010 at my aunt and uncle's house in Monterey, California; Here I am holding my cousin's daughter, then just 13 months old, in the foyer of my aunt and uncle's house...

 

The living room of the Furlong townhouse in December 2011; I was born in March 1989, and while we've had a fake tree since 2008, the only year I can remember us not getting a full-sized tree was 1996. This was because we were in a shitty 2-bedroom Navy house in California and we were going to Connecticut for Christmas, so we got a 3-foot fake tree and set it up...

We spent Christmas 2011 with family in Virginia, but we have always set up a tree at home even if we were not spending Christmas there!

 

I've never had a bad Christmas, ever; I am very happy about this.

1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2016, and 2019 are the years I remember as being the best in terms of the Christmas gifts I received.

2016 is one of my favorite Christmases in recent years, because my dad gave me the Tacoma as an early Christmas present in December of that year! My dad bought the Tacoma new in 2009, and it was in his name from September 2009 to December 2016. I was prepared to buy the Tacoma outright from my dad, and I was ready to decimate my entire life savings to avoid financing it (I literally had just enough to pay cash for the Taco at the time); My dad surprised me in early December 2016 when he said the Taco was mine to keep, no questions asked! We went to a notary around the corner from our house, and my dad even paid the title transfer fee! The loan on the Tacoma was paid off in late 2012 or early 2013, and it has legally been my truck since December 2016!
