Fines negatively impact lower-income individuals. They got hit with a triple-whammy for one offense; They have to pay a fine, the offense almost always carries points, and insurance rates go up a result. Rich people will just pay the fine and deal with the consequences, or hire a lawyer and fight it.

So I’d have to paint it again? Is it possible to only order the big piece? I didn’t realize the insert was more than two thirds the cost of the whole unit!

If you want it silver then yes. I can just sell you the kit without powder coat and without triangles for $210
The embossed lettering is not done by machine. I do not have a large press that would be capable of making a product like this - each one is 100% hand made hence the cost.

I’d prefer it powdercoated, but at this point I think I might hold off because I am about to spend roughly $400 to replace the serpentine belt and a couple other parts in my truck (idler arm and pulleys).

Yes. I didn’t need as much payload (3808 lbs) and need the pulling power.

Diesels are great for work and towing toys, but no way in hell would I own one for a DD.

Had one and I completely agree. I bought a 1970 mini as my daily when I had one.

    Here's a funny story...

My dad brought one of his company trucks home in July 2014, and I of course wanted a ride in it; It was a then-new 2015 Silverado 2500HD LT 4x4 with the Duramax. My dad and I switched seats around the corner from the bar where I was working at the time. I pulled up to the bar, blasting my favorite song on the radio ("Once Bitten Twice Shy" by Great White), and told all my coworkers that I'd won the lottery and paid cash for the truck!

After DD two other diesels, they almost cost me a marriage. Ha!

I'd have a diesel for my daily; Not a truck but one of these!

One of my most laughable photography-related incidents took place in July 2012, when I stopped to take pictures of a lifted Tahoe in the parking lot of a bar in a seedy part of Warminster; I snapped a quick picture of a vintage York air-conditioner on the side of the building and then immediately went to photograph this green 2002ish Chevy Tahoe, which was for sale. I'd taken a picture of the old A/C unit without really thinking, and had more or less forgotten about it by the time the female bar owner came out to confront me.

Apparently, this woman had seen me out a side window, and came out with two guys who I believe were bar patrons; The problem is that, like I said, I'd snapped a picture of the air-conditioner without really thinking, and I thought she was going all post-menopausal on me for taking pictures of a custom SUV that clearly had a FOR SALE sign on it. Due to this unfortunate misunderstanding, I basically told her to go pound sand because I thought I was well within my rights to photograph the Tahoe, and she threatened to call the cops on me before I realized what she was so upset about; I apologized, told her what I was doing, and she ended up being fine with in.

To this day, I still get VERY defensive when anybody tries to tell me what I can and cannot take pictures of in public!

I love taking pictures of police SUVs and trucks to use in my GM truck tribute videos; 99% of the time, I just see police vehicles parked out and about, and I will take a few pictures without incident. One time while out for a drive, I noticed police from various jurisdictions conducting one of those DOT checkpoints that have become so reviled among commercial drivers and trucking companies in Bucks County that a Facebook page has been created for the sole purpose warning truck drivers so they can avoid them! There was a whole line of police SUVs parked there, and I thought it was one of the most beautiful sights in the world. I pulled over and asked the officers on site if I could take pictures of the SUVs. They were very friendly, but they said no. I know I am well within my constitutional rights to photograph a police vehicle in public, but I was not about to get into a pissing contest with cops about the constitution when I'd pulled over to talk to them.

What do you guys think of this? I still take pictures of police trucks for my tribute videos, and believe it is my right to do this because my tax dollars pay for those police vehicles and their maintenance.

Unless fart jokes and/or fart-related memes become a violation of the CoC, I don't think I'm at risk of getting banned again!

I took some great pictures of the White House on a trip to DC back in July 2014. Back then, you could walk right up to the fence, stick your camera lens through the bars of the fence; Your only limitation was how far your lens could zoom! Unfortunately, a hard drove crash cost me those pictures; What pisses me is off is that now, apparently you can't get that close to the White House anymore!

This past Summer I was taking a back road to come home and as I came around the bend I could see a police cruiser in the middle of the road and the cop standing there. Then I noticed about 10 to 15 police vehicles in the driveway and yard of a house along with a large SWAT truck with some sort of battering ram or robotic arm on the front.
I thought they might be organizing some sort of drug sweep in the county or something but it ends up that these people kidnapped and beat their baby to death and tied concrete around him and threw him down a well.
I had no idea the police had so many vehicles in this area, would love to have taken some pictures that day of all those vehicles but I knew to not even try.

I'm a big regular cab fan but after having a couple access cabs I have to say I like the practicality. Keeping my 2-door Wrangler though.
