That was quite the storm!

And I miss that house! The A/C in that house worked better than in the one we're in now (at least in my bedroom).

 

Try losing power for two days in August, and having no A/C. With the Honda generator we were able to run one TV, the refrigerator, and the internet router, and the surge protector for my laptop.

Here's something you might not have known; Apparently there was a Turbo GT Mustang available from 1983-196, a 4-cylinder, and it was not available with air-conditioning for some stupid reason!

 

It was out for 9 days and over 100 degrees for that one outage, I did use the generator for my fridge and fan and a light at night. I would take that power outage over the ice storm one any day! I have Raynaud's and my hands are absolute ice cubes at 50 degrees, it took 3 or 4 days before I could leave for a hotel. My hands were so cold that I didn't realize the door handle for the hotel room was broken and I was slicing my hand open, I noticed blood all over my pants and was like WTF.

Well driving all around this country nothing happens to my 4runner until today. My mom backed into my door while I was putting my kid in her car seat. Leave it to good ol mom.

Yeah, it has to do with your blood vessels and your extremities. I despise being cold because it is extremely uncomfortable.

 

Yup. She is, last time she was around my vehicle she scratched the back window tint with her engagement ring while adjusting the head rest. I’m not mad about the door, money can fix that but what I am mad about is getting smacked the door while I was loading my kid up.

 

Any temperature below 50 is torture.

 

She backed into the open door? I'm guessing your mom's car does not have a backup camera?

 

Damn that sucks. I wouldn’t want to deal with that.

No it does. She wasnt paying attention cause I bet she was messing around with her other grandkids. Yes my door was open.

Being in Afghanistan in the winter would have literally killed me.

 

Not really, just super cold and painful.

 

At least you don’t get the needles sensation when your hands get cold.
