One thing I always loved about the series is that Tony drove a brand new (at the start of the series) 1999 Chevy Suburban instead of a Cadillac or a Lincoln like stereotypical mobsters...

If I owned your house, I'd put a whole-home generator in; They're not cheap but I'd think for your house it would be worth it!

Yeah they are sweet and even have an automatic transfer switch. A manual transfer switch is on a future to do list, it will consist of one plug in and then flip the switch.

Tony started had accessorized his Burb by the second season...

One of these would probably set our beloved Tony back about $35,000-$38,000 or so, and given how much he made as a mob boss, he likely paid cash; His wife Carmela drove a 2000 Mercedes E320 station wagon up until the first episode of season six. The Benz was initially a lease, but Carmela likely bought it as she owned it for six years (Double a typical lease period).

o_O Only the greatest TV show of all time! It's an HBO series about a Northern New Jersey mobster named Tony Soprano who's juggling his "family" life with his actual family life; He is also in therapy for 85 of the 86 episodes. The series aired on HBO from January 1999 to June 2007.

If you have not seen it, I highly recommend that you watch it. The complete series can purchased on Blu Ray on Amazon for like eighty bucks, or if you have HBO you can watch it for free OnDemand.

Are you comparing a “mob” series to MacGyver?

I’m gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you there! Nothing better than Mac!

By season four, Tony has replaced the dark red 1999 Suburban with a black 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV. He totaled the black Escalade when he flipped it on its side while swerving to avoid a deer, and the red Suburban briefly and strangely reappears, meaning he did not trade it in for the Escalade; Christopher Moltisanti shoots up the Suburban in a drunken rage because his fiance was in the Escalade with Tony at the time of the crash, and believes she was giving him roadhead when it happened.

Tony buys this white 2003 Escalade ESV to replace the totaled one, which he has for the remainder of the series, and the red Suburban is never seen again after Christopher shot it up; The actual Escalade used in the series sold for like $120K at auction! That's double its MSRP when new, and it had like 90K miles on it when went up for auction!

MacGyver, at least the original series, ended when I was three years old; Please don't be mad at me, but I never really watched it! Thinking of buying on DVD though!

Ok, is it better than The Pacific? If so, is it better than True Detective season 1 and 3? If so, is it better than the OG BBC Top Gear? If so, is it better than Band of Brothers?

    Okay... Okay...

Band of Brothers was great! And you've proven your point; I do love war and history shows!

You know I’m fucking with you, right? I’ve seen it. It was entertaining and sadly James Gandolfini was taken way too soon.
