Driving the 1990 Skeeter to our fishing spot earlier that same day; I did not even have a learner's permit when this picture was taken, but I'd been driving this boat without any assistance for the better part of a decade so I knew what I was doing!

 

My dad bought the Skeeter new from a boat dealer in Long Island that was going out of business. He paid like $2,500 for the boat and trailer (minus the engine, throttle, and tachometer) and towed it to a shop. My dad bought a used 1986 Johnson 60hp outboard for like $1,600 and this shop installed the motor; All in all, I think my dad paid less than five grand for a boat that lasted our family nearly two decades! He tested the boat in the Long Island Sound, and then towed it back home to Pennsylvania with our a 1990 Toyota Camry LE V6!

Grammy's other lake house, right next door to the original one. She bought the first house in 1990 and still owns it; She bought this one in 1999 or 2000 and owned it until 2011, selling it when the upkeep got to be too much...



The silver minivan was my parents' (sold to my dad's coworker in May or June of 2013, and I believe the Lexus belonged to my aunt; also long since sold)...

Even more annoying than the scam phone calls you speak of are my neighbors; I've got at least two of them who think it's funny to prank call me!

 

Wow, that's crazy!

 

They use this call spoofing app, only this time my neighbor across the street used her own cell phone number this time! She fails to realize how busted she is!
