That car gave me lots of trouble though. I was too young to understand that at the moment.

That one belonged to a distant relative, and sadly that one was a 2.8L/automatic! The picture was taken in the parking lot of a church in Connecticut after my Grandma's funeral; The owner's only complaint about the car was the A/C did not work and he was going to have to get it converted to R134a...

 

V6, slushbox, power everything, nonfunctional A/C...

 

That was not a Silver Cloud! Silver Cloud production ended in 1965, and the Silver Shadow (SY) was released in 1966.

 

My camaro surprisingly was not bad at all. It felt very torquey. I got lots of compliments, i wish i still had it. I would love to drop 305, it bolts up the MT tranny.

Though, to the untrained eye, a 1970s Phantom might look like a Cloud III; The later Phantoms were also never offered in the states because of federal safety regulations (and emissions regulations), but nowadays they can legally be exported here as antique vehicles!

 

The 5.0L was not the most reliable engine, from what I've been told...

 

Do you remember whether it looked liked the red and black Shadow?

 

The 1977-1980 Silver Wraith II (an extended Silver Shadow II) is one of my personal favorites! This is a 1978 model, and actually a Bentley T2 with a Rolls grille shell...
