No. Toyota does not sell Tacomas in Russia.
Only used imported from US or Canada.

Maybe you mean Hilux?

China illegally copies everything, that's how they are. Some of the copies are very close. Except in quality. Generally, they lack that in vehicles.

 

North Korea made unauthorized copies of the Mercedes-Benz W201 by purchasing a few of them, tearing them apart, and then reverse-engineering them...

The result looked like a 190E in basic shape and body design, but that's where the similarities ended; I believe the DPRK knockoff was called the Kaengsaeng 88, and not only was it so poorly put together that it made a Hyundai Excel from the same era (1985-1990) seem liked a real Mercedes by comparison, but it reportedly did not even have heat!

This was what a US-spec Mercedes W201 (190E) looks like; One of the finest Mercedes-Benz products ever built in my opinion, after the W124 of course...

This is a Euro-spec W201 that was obviously photographed somewhere in Europe, but not the UK or Ireland because the car is LHD; It is likely not France because French-spec cars had distinctive yellow headlight lenses until 1993 (and production of the W201 ended in 1993), so I'm guessing Germany or Austria...?

And finally, the blatant North Korean knockoff! It is obvious that the North Koreans based their copy on the European version, because the car has the Euro-style headlamps instead of the US-spec sealed-beam versions...

I cannot entirely tell from this picture whether the passenger mirror was ripped off in an accident or if the car came without it, but considering that even certain Rolls-Royce models from the 1970s came without a passenger mirror, I'm guessing the mirror on this car was purposely omitted to cut costs; I also read that the car lacked items such as a radio and even a heater!

 

An uncanny resemblance! You can also see what appears to be a late 1980s Ford Crown Vic or Mercury Grand Marquis parked at the beginning of that long line of cars...

 

They even ripped off the hubcap/wheel cover design!

 

Toyota trucks are in demand everywhere, as are the parts.
What if that's where many of the tacomas bought back by Toyota ended up? Middle East and Asia

To be used and driven there or simply for the parts

I regularly see tacomas up for exportation here, no matter if they have issues/rust or not

 

The last time I checked the Toyota South Africa website, they were still selling new FJ Cruisers there! The most obvious differences of the South Africa-spec FJs are RHD and considerably different emissions equipment than the North American version...
