Even our favorite brand wasn't immune, as seen in this 1985 Toyota Van...

This 1980 Honda Accord, like the '85 Toyota Van, is not quite as garish as the hues of red seen in the American vehicles...

1982 Honda Prelude; I spoke too soon...

And the interior of this 1976 Lincoln is a nice shade of beige, but I still find the patterns they used on leather and velour seats back then rather tacky...

What I meant was it was more than just a fan; I've taken apart enough of these things over the years to know what it looks like inside!

When I was young my buddies Dad had a Granada with a Manual Transmission. Also Granada's towards the end of their existence were Fox Bodies.

Some looked good when new but faded into ugliness with normal wear and tear; Others, like this 1981 Ford Escort, looked garish the moment they rolled off the assembly line!

If memory serves me the First Fox Body vehicle was the Fairmont, the 2 door version it a decent car to build something from since all of the available parts.

A Coyote 5.0, Manual 6 Speed swap would be a beast.

Red looks great on a Rolls-Royce or Bentley of the 1980s, but they used the finest materials available; The cheap plastics used by domestic and Japanese automakers look even cheaper in whorehouse red!

To quote the hit song by The Barenaked Ladies...

"If I had a million dollars, I would buy you a K-car, a nice Reliant automobile..."

'82 Dodge Aries wagon with factory A/C and factory 4-on-the-floor!

1983 Dodge Ramcharger; Really makes me sad seeing a reasonably solid one of these in a junkyard...

The Ramcharger obviously competed with the K5 Blazer/Jimmy and Bronco, and up until its final year in 1993 it was the only full-size 2-door SUV available in 2-wheel drive...

    I would love to install a 426 Hemi and 4-speed in a 2WD Ramcharger!
