No ABS, Foxes didn't have it, the 1994 SN95 was the first ones.

I've driven a few vehicles without ABS, but it was in good weather conditions...

    • 1974 Ford F100 (Front disc, rear drum, manual brakes)
    • 1991 Toyota pickup (Front disc, rear drum, power brakes; May have had ABS)
    • 1971 VW Bus (Front disc, rear drum, manual brakes)

Pretty sure every 4-wheeled vehicle my parents have owned since 1990, except the 1986 Mazda B2000, has had ABS; The '86 Mazda was also the only one since 1990 with no power brakes or power steering...

I kinda like not having any nannies in that car but don't mind them at all in my truck. I think my 2000 Tacoma was the first vehicle I owned with ABS.

The one thing I don't like about ABS is that the brake pedal shudders when I apply the brakes on snow...

My 2008 Tacoma had a weird ABS Glitch, also recall reading a few other people with similar experiences in the 2nd Gen Section. There was a manhole cover at this one red light, the problem occurred if the road was wet, ABS would kick in and the pedal would go straight to the floor and you would lurch forward several feet. It was scary AF as you would damn near end up out in front of cross traffic, so it was always necessary to pay extra attention.

I had the Auto-LSD light come on at random once; Brought it to the dealer and they found no faults...

The 2017 has stability control too, a couple years ago a came up to a super sharp turn where a truck lost some gravel and the truck immediately activated ABS and Stability control and I went right around the curve no problem.

Do you have a locker or the "fake posi" auto-LSD?

I've got a fake posi, no E-locker; My truck does okay in the snow with the Cooper Discoverer AT/3s...

I am super impressed with the Falken Wildpeak tires I put on, amazing in the rain and much better in the snow than the Factory tires.

My truck did great in the snow with the chains, even with the Michelin All-Seasons...

On another note, I'm so glad I don't work in that detail shop anymore...

I was 29 when I started working; I'm still a young man, yet it took less than 10 months to burn me out (somewhat physically, but mostly emotionally)!

The Ex GF's Son was taking Auto Body in School but they mainly had him work in the mechanic shop instead and then both instructors suggested he go after detailing instead.
