So, a tree fell on a power line in the high winds and the power went out; Street Road is blocked at Elbow Lane as a result...

Since my dad hasn’t fired up the portable generator yet and I don’t want to open the fridge, I went to Wawa for dinner (now I’m home eating a sandwich by the light of a Coleman lamp)...

 

Exactly, I never leave the stock stuff in. Just swap my killer setup from the old vehicle to the new..so why pay for something I'm just going to remove ASAP anyway

 

While leaving the Wawa parking lot, I encountered a local cop and asked him if he knew anything about how bad the damage was; He did not, but it turns out he was the same cop who stopped me for rolling a stop sign about a month ago (he recognized me)! I threw the old Taco in park and we shot the shit for a good twenty minutes before going our separate ways...

Now I’m back home the bloody power is still out!

 

And you get like a $50-$150 credit well into the nineties if you opted for radio delete!

 

Which will go a long way towards paying for any small components, wire, etc that I would need for the personal stuff.

I paid $350 for the install in this truck, was almost a day of work.

 

Also, I saw this massive earthworm before getting in the truck to go to Wawa...

 

I paid a case of beer for my install...

 

That's everything though..radio, 2 amps, 6 speakers..plus pulling all the wire etc.

 

I had to pay for the components and installation materials, but my neighbor did all the hard work!

 

Power just came back on less than ten minutes ago, I demolished a 10-inch Wawa hoagie, and the local cops are awesome...

'Nuff said!

I believe this was the result of trying to take a picture with the flash off; Makes it look a bit worse than it actually was...

 

I found out that I cannot afford a decent wagon right now if I want to buy a house before I'm 36...

 

A house is a good investment!

 

As is a Tacoma, but I’ve already got one of those...

 

Only I could get the munchies during a power outage, go on a sandwich run, encounter the cop who pulled me over a month ago while leaving the Wawa parking lot, and end up shooting the shit with said cop for about twenty minutes...

 

Indeed, these trucks do a great job at retaining value!

 

The wind blew the power out 5 or 6 times today but it managed to come back on each time!

 

Same, I had most of the stuff already..bought new wiring all around though, and the adapters to use 6x9 speakers instead of the 6.5 inch.

It was late October and I didn't have a garage to work in, plus being busy taking care of my father in law..it was worth the money versus waiting until spring and that's IF I had the time to spend all day on it

 

My glasses won’t fit under it, but I don’t care...

I’m wearing this damn thing to the supermarket first chance I get!
