Here's another example of Aspies getting really locked onto a certain "mission"...

In June 2019, I went to a HUGE car show at the York Expo Center in York, Pennsylvania; I left first thing in the morning on Saturday and got there before 9am if I remember correctly (2 hour drive; I spent the night). After driving two hours straight through and knocking back water on the drive, I had to pee; As soon as I parked the truck, I went looking for a restroom. Unbeknownst to me, the national anthem was about to start and I had my hat on, but I had to pee! Some older guy flipped out at me for having my hat off, or as I see it, for caring too much about not pissing my pants to realize that the national anthem was about to start...

I took my hat off but resisted the strong urge to the tell the guy to kindly go fuck himself.

I've gotten into more confrontations with strangers over the years because of just that; They're STRANGERS who don't know me and have no right to be getting involved in my business!

I take orders from the following people; My parents (allow me to live in their house rent-free until I can afford a down payment on my own house and have the power to kick me out), my boss (writes my paychecks and can fire me), cops (can arrest me). There are other people on that list as well, but you get the idea; All of the Joe Schmoes and Jane Does need to kindly fuck off!

 

Also, the fact I've made my truck so distinctive has come back to bite me in the ass twice this year. I was a member of a private uncensored community group for the town I live in, and I posted many pictures of my truck. Apparently, sometime last summer, I cut off some woman in a minivan without realizing it. I never would have realized it if this psycho-bitch hadn't seen my truck in a post on this group, recognized it, and started harassing me about it; I posted the pictures maybe two days after this allegedly took place, and I was utterly dumbfounded when she started bitching at me. I ended up apologizing for cutting her off even though I could not remember doing it for the life of me (and I certainly didn't remember being flipped off by a woman in a white Toyota minivan), and then I told her "shit happens, even to the best and most attentive drivers" and also told her to "stop being such a Karen." She apologized and all was good...

 

And then there was the crazy cat lady who lives like a mile from my house who claimed to have seen my truck "going 50 MPH on her street and putting the kids in danger"; The funny thing is that I've been living here almost five years and I've never been on her street; I go right past her street everyday, but I've never been on her street. I blocked her on Facebook, but needless to say I closely monitor my speedometer when I'm anywhere near her street. My theory is that she saw me driving past her house on the main road (which has a speed limit of 45 MPH; In Pennsylvania, going 5 MPH above is not considered a moving violation, so 50 MPH in a 45 is perfectly fine!), and got it in her mind that I was on her street or blurred two different memories together; I never drove on her street before and I am definitely not going to start now!

 

My local police remember me for my light bar..not necessarily a good thing but it's more they occasionally like to stop me coming home at night. Must be making sure they don't catch drunk drivers.
