John, have we learned our lesson about questioning the wisdom of the mods, especially when it involves a MegaThread that belongs to a very anxious OCD Aspie?!?!

I figured that; Just busting John's balls. Yes, contrary to popular belief Aspies can have a sense of humor! I was legitimately afraid for a bit that you'd found something that violated the CoC, though!

This thread is my baby and is about so much more than talking about modifications to my truck and BSing about, well, BS...

It is about discussing my struggles and triumphs growing up with and currently living with Aspergers/ASD; As of this post there ELEVEN guests reading this thread, and my guess is that those are people with AS or parents/guardians of people with AS who are looking for info.

I was just about to ask you to post an example of a dank ass meme, but it looks like you beat me to the punch...?

By the way, I’ve already had a cup of hazelnut regular and I just polished off a cup of hazelnut half-caff!

:santa: :santa2: Yesterday evening, right before my shift ended, I turned on all the Christmas lights on the truck so it would be ready to go when I was; Once work was officially over I hopped in the truck, hopped on 611, and drove until I felt like turning around...

My end goal was nothing more than showing off my incredibly festive pickup truck; I drove all the way down to Cheltenham/Elkins Park until I got bored (and hungry; and started entering the early stages of needing to pee) and turned around in the parking lot of a dialysis center on Old York Road. A couple of miles before the dialysis center, there was a three-way fender bender; I did not actually witness it (though my dashcam might have; But, there seriously was NOT any action worth posting to YouTube). Some sort of late model German SUV (either an Audi or a Benz; silver in color) rear ended a black 2007-2014ish Tahoe (may have been a Yukon), and that black SUV was pushed into a white Mercedes sedan (I believe an E-class, maybe five years old at the oldest). The damage looked virtually nonexistent from where I was sitting (behind the wheel of my truck riding the brake pedal at like 5 MPH), though there appeared to be some scratches on the front bumper of the silver SUV that started it all; My guess would be a few grand worth of paint work and dent removal combined for all three vehicles combined (and maybe a distracted driving citation for the driver of the silver SUV; A lone police SUV had responded when I passed on the way back), but nothing truly detrimental...

Also, I've determined that driving into the lower portions of Bucks and Montgomery Counties that are right on the border with Philly simply is not worth it, since that area is far more urbanized than Central Bucks, Upper Bucks, and certain parts of Montgomery County. However, I am strongly considering going into quaint little areas like Conshohocken, Manayunk, and Media on a weekend to show off the truck...

Response to my truck has been overwhelmingly positive, in the form of people giving me the thumbs up, taking pictures of my truck as they drive past, literally dancing to the Christmas music I have blaring on the stereo sometimes, and giving me a few friendly honks as they drive by (I can tell the difference between a friendly honk and an angry one)!

Due to the surge in COVID cases, and Philly being considered something of a hotbed, I will not be exiting my truck in that area if I do decide to drive down there!

And now, we begin the oh-so-fun process of redoing the links to notable stages of my build; Every time I get threads merged, anything after late 2016 (and sometimes prior to that time period) gets pushed forward, and the links bring anyone who clicks on them to the page that post was previously on rather than the post itself...

Also, one thing I was rather shocked to see was how many massage places were open during the COVID pandemic; I'm talking about both the legit massage therapy places like Hand and Stone and the ones integrated with various gyms and physical therapy centers, and the sketchy happy ending places (There's plenty of BOTH around here)...

While driving down 611 last night, just about every massage place I passed had a neon OPEN sign in the front window or showed other obvious signs of being open for business! I loved to massages (used to get them at legit places like the gym or this mani-pedi place about a mile from my house) before COVID, but now I have no desire to step foot in one until COVID is totally under control! :(

That looks great but I would never bother doing that to my house because it would all be buried under a foot of snow for the next 5 months.

IDK what the law is there, but at least in MA about 25 years or so ago stores that sold tobacco products were told to ID everyone if they don't look at least 40 years old. The store could decide to be more strict if they chose to.

I mention that because at 23 I went to buy a pack of smokes at the grocery store my sister worked at while she was working the front desk. She said "Sure, can I see your ID please?" Naturally I chuckled and said "I would assume you know that your brother..that's me..is 23 and allowed to buy smokes". She said "I do. I also know with that recent change we were told the store wants everyone carded no matter what, and any employee not doing so can be fired regardless of how old the person is..and my boss is watching everyone". Yeah I coughed up my ID :)

I was in NY last year and had my id asked for in a liquor shop. My wife didn’t have her wallet on her and they wouldn’t sell me two bottles of papa van winkle. So I drove a few miles down the road to a different one bought what I was looking for, and then on the way back stopped and showed them my receipt. The manager was a little red in the face. I was 33 at the time.
