I'm extremely insecure around those with VD... Kudos for the kind act, but you can always simply make a donation and move on.

Yuppp. Its funny how one mans post can bring out the misogyny in some dudes on here ( one dude called them bottom barrel whores, real classy).

The funniest shit of this entire thread were the guys worried about the truck being washed with non micro fiber towels, that made me laugh! Taco owners are nuts.

I've "gone nuts" over my Taco three times.

Freakout NUMBER ONE was in 2013 or 2014. I waiting for some friends in the parking lot of a frozen yogurt place, just sitting in my truck with the A/C on listening to the radio. I was backed into the spot. A Toyota Sienna minivan pulled into the space to my right, and a bunch of little league kids and their dads get out of the van. One of the little bastards placed his right hand on the rear window of the minivan and stretched his left arm across the hood of my truck. He then started doing pull-ups. My response was to lay on the horn. I scared the crap out of the kid, figuratively and possibly literally. Needless to say, he jumped down and removed his arm from my Taco. I initially didn't say anything or even get out of the truck, but moments later I felt so bad that I got out of the truck and apologized. The kid's dad took my side, saying that he warned his son not to touch other people's cars and that he probably would have done the same thing!

Freakout NUMBER TWO took place in March 2015. I live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Specifically I live in Central Bucks. My Grandma lives less than an hour away in Northampton County. I went to the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Show and then stopped at my grandma's for a late lunch. On the way home, less than 20 minutes from my house, I stopped at a red light on Easton Road. I was just chilling, listening to Billy Joel. I looked down to either adjust the heat or the radio right as the light turned green and didn't notice it turned green. Seconds later, I looked up and saw that the light turned green, but I got rear-ended before I could accelerate from the light. I was not hurt at all, but the impact was big enough that I was sure my truck's bumper and tailgate would be damaged. I was absolutely livid, and I jumped out of the truck and started blindly swearing at the person who'd hit me. I immediately felt remorse when I realized the other driver was a quite attractive middle-aged blonde woman. She was driving a 2006 Toyota Highlander. Turns out the damage to my truck was isolated to the rear bumper, with no actual body damage. Her Highlander had no damage whatsoever. Once she assured me that she had insurance, I calmed down a lot. I apologized profusely for swearing at her, explaining that I'd never had an accident in my life and that my truck was my baby. She said she understood completely and felt awful about hitting my truck. Her excuse for hitting me was priceless though...

She told me she'd seen the light turn green, and then looked down at her center console for some reason as she was accelerating. She saw me sitting at the light and just assumed I would be going, then slammed into the back of my truck while she was still looking down. I think she was texting and driving, but she was very nice and took responsibility so I didn't push the issue.

Freakout NUMBER THREE took place in October 2015. This is one of the most well-publicized incidents on Tacoma World. I was making a left at a 3-way intersection, and a drunk old man in a 2002 Mercedes E320 floored it from a stop sign before I was all the way through the intersection. I knew he was gonna hit me before he hit me. My immediate response was to jump out of the truck and start swearing at the guy. My truck had $2,600 in damage and his Mercedes was probably totaled. He hit my truck so hard he bent the frame! NOTE: He bent the frame in his car. My truck had cosmetic damage only!

Whether you drive a Tacoma or any other truck, us truck owners may have our differences, but there is one thing we can agree on! Trucks are the almighty conquerers in accidents!

He told his insurance company I ran a stop sign and they believed him, but I won. It turns out the old man killed somebody while driving drunk in the late 1980s. His was found guilty of DUI for the 2015 incident, and rightfully so because he was in the range of .10 to .15 BAC. He lost his driver's license for a year, has to serve 40 days in jail, has to pay a fine and court costs, and also pay restitution to me. He can say I ran a stop sign all he wants, but in the end which one of us is an ex-felon who wound up in the back of a police SUV and ultimately lost his license, and which one of us still has a clean driving record?
