    @shakerhood

    Also in 2002, during the last few months we lived in Washington, we went to Port Townsend (where the filmed An Officer and a Gentleman); While there, I found a unicorn...

    It was a Chevy Malibu wagon with no A/C and factory 3-speed manual on the floor! I have read PDF files of all the Malibu brochures from 1978 to 1983, and a manual transmission was no longer offer on the Malibu after 1981 I believe. Also, based on the front end design, this car was definitely no newer than 1981; The car was black or dark blue, and it was mint for being over 20 years at the time...

    One thing I noticed in Washington was that people tended to hold onto quirky older cars for long periods of time!

    Wow a 3 speed would have been neat to see! When l was around 16 or 17 my friends parents had a Malibu, it was an ugly Brown color, but it was an AT.

    I saw a 1996-2000 Astro cargo van with no A/C in the Starbucks parking lot when we lived in Oak Harbor; This was in 2000 or 2001, and it definitely was not a new van, so it was no newer than 2000, but I narrowed it down to 1996-2000 based on the fact that it had dual airbags...

    The interior of the Astro/Safari was redesigned for the 1996 to accommodate dual airbags; Air-conditioning was STANDARD on all Astro models (even the cargo vans) from 1995 onward, and if you wanted one without A/C you had to order it. If you opted for no A/C, you got a $995 credit; I obviously would have gotten A/C!

    Yeah, he texted me saying there was a Jeep in front of him out in Ohio (I thought he meant a Wrangler), and that the registration sticker had expired in 2017; I explained how that's the year Pennsylvania went paperless...

    Wrangler is to Jeep what Kleenex is to tissues, and what Bandaid is to adhesive bandages!

    I'd deal with it, and I'm pretty sure they make a backup camera that'll fit your car too; It would cover the part of the plate that says OHIO...

    I would rather the Climate Controls stay at the top where they are now.

    The Airbag control module sits way down in the dash behind the climate controls, had to swap it out once and its hard to get at.

    Maybe you should put a non-airbag steering wheel from a 1987-1990 model in there; That airbag seems like a liability now...
