    I feel for you as its a real pain! This is just a small example, but the previous owner was a hoarder and the entire garage was packed from floor to ceiling, 2 years later I am still cleaning out his crap.

    Yikes, at least his parents were orderly but still just a lot of stuff in 50 something years accumulated.

    Plus side is at least some of what I can see in your picture could be scrapped

    From the 1980s until less than 20 years ago, my grandma always insisted on having a trash compactor in her house; She lived in Arizona from 1982 to 1994 and had one put in that house, she got one installed in the condo in Pennsylvania where she lived from 1994 to 1999, and she bought this house in 1989 as a vacation home and as you can see she had one put in here...

    I was enthralled with the trash compactor when I was a kid and one of my favorite things to do was toss burned out light bulbs in there and crush them; Now, honestly, I think trash compactors are just a waste of space...

    My aunt and uncle's old house in Northern Virginia was built in 1981 and they bought it from the original owners in 1994. By 1994, the kitchen in that house was incredibly outdated; By comparison, my best friend's parents' house was built in 1961 and they redid the kitchen in 2006 or so; The section of granite countertop near the sink cracked, so they just replaced the countertops, but that kitchen still has its original appliances, cabinets, and floor...

    Guess what, it looks great 15 years later!

    I remember my buddy having on in his kitchen when we were kids, it ended up in like a paperbag cube at the end.

    Anyway, the house was built in 1981 and it had a trash compactor that looked like it was from 1981; If it worked when my aunt and uncle bought the house in 1994, it had quit working before the turn of the century and was no longer in use. When they redid the kitchen in 2002, they did not get a new one...

    @ABA180

    My grandma's house also has heat lamps in both full bathrooms...

    Like the trash compactors, this is another thing my grandma insisted on having installed in every house she ever bought from the early 1980s onward; When I was a kid, I loved standing under them after getting out of the shower, but I can towel off so fast that they are rendered pointless...

    I honestly think that they are more for heating the floor than warming people, but they definitely do work!

    It also doubles as an exhaust fan; On another note, after leaving it on for a few minutes, it does not seem to warm up the floor...

    Those are nice if you have a Jacuzzi in the bathroom, turn the place into a sauna

    When l was house shopping this one house had an amazing unit in the bathroom mounted like that in the ceiling. Besides getting nice and hot it also had a super powerful fan, it was literally like standing under a mini jet engine!

    I’d suggest laying down some radiant heat coils before that floor gets poured!
