Sorry to hear of your neighbor's passing. Having that zombie crap on your truck with her message is not right... even if it is covered up. Take off... Your truck will thank you.

It's not about ALL the neighbors, just 1. Before my friend Kayla passed she went to all her parent's neighbors and told them NOT to put stickers on their cars because she wanted her parent's to get over her and on with their lives as soon as possible and didn't want them to have a bunch of stickers triggering memories every time they stepped out of their house.

Your a good man Charlie
Sorry for your loss. If the family thinks it’s ok do whatever’s tasteful with respect to them.
@CBoy808 could probably set you up with the stickers of your choosing.
I’d gladly donate $100 to this so you can make it happen.

What you see in the original picture is just a mock-up; I hastily covered up the zombie stickers with painters tape so I could do the equivalent of a rough sketch. Rest assured that with the exception of the pink ribbons tied to the trailer hitch and side mirrors for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, nothing honoring my neighbor will be going on the truck until after Halloween when the zombie stuff is removed.

Agree with your mom. Maybe just her first name , local people , friends and family will know. Also grab a stencil kit to make it more uniform. Also sorry to hear , 41 is young.

We've all seen "in memory of" stuff on vehicles all the time. The question is, when have you or anyone you know done anything when you saw them other than say "aww she was only 2, how sad"? The sad reality is that they are the physical manifestation of a Facebook post looking for likes.

Take the $100 you were going to spend on stickers, take the offer of $100 from another member and any others you can get, go to your neighbors and get some from them, and then tell your neighbor that through the memory of his wife you were able to make money for a charity to help others who are going through what they did.

Sorry for the loss of your neighbor. We just lost my wife’s cousin yesterday she fought 4 different battles with cancer over the last 4 years and remained a positive person one of the strongest people I’ve known.
As long as the family approves do what you like. To me, at the least, it brings more attention to cancer.

A nice card with a heartfelt note about the lasting impact she made in his life, the memories that he’ll hold dear for the rest of his, and the lessons learned from her strength, resilience and compassion. A donation to breast cancer research, or a local cancer care centre. A home cooked meal, because the days after losing a loved one are filled with dizzying fury of activity where you may not have time to take care of yourself, not eat properly, or forget to eat entirely. And when you have family and friends popping in on you, it’s nice to just have a something to heat and eat for everyone.

That's what I think I'm gonna do; I already have three pink ribbon magnets on order from Amazon and that's what I'm gonna put on the tailgate.

Punctured Pete quit working properly before I even started working at the store, and the policy is that all defective animatronics are 50% off; He languished on the floor for weeks, and then I got to realizing, "Pete is a zombie!"

So, Pete does not work at all; The good news is that he is still under warranty and may be eligible to get replaced. If that is indeed the case, then I am going to try to get a new one after I use him for my zombie display at the car show tomorrow! By the way, Pete does not come with the hat and my boss took it off at checkout...

If I can't get a new Pete or at least get the motor replaced, he's still a pretty cool prop in his current nonfunctioning condition, plus I don't have to worry about leaving him outside since he's already broken!

I don't want to leave him outside until I'm absolutely sure I can't make a warranty claim, and it was pouring earlier today; Taking him home in bed of the truck in today's weather would have surely voided any warranty he had, so I'm glad I was able to cram him into the cab of my truck!
