I see it as to each their own, as long as it doesn't cause further discomfort to those closest to the one lost. Each culture has their own way of doing things. Some may choose to go horizontal on a sofa with the remote. Or dance and celebrate their life. Or bring food to the family. Or put a sticker on your Tacoma. Perhaps send a text, with a picture of the sticker, explaining this is how I wish to honor her life, but I'd like your blessing before I do so.

Sorta reminds me, after 911, it took the families saying I can't turn on the tv, or even walk past a store or restaurant in fear I have to look at the moment my father was killed again and again over and over. Finally it stopped being shown.

Japanese have a custom to give money to the family. But choosing the exact correct dollar figure is the tricky part. Too much, your showing off that you're successful. Too little you're showing disrespect to the deceased. So you go to the elder closest to you to come up with the figure, works for me every time.

I think your heart is in the right place but it seems a bit showy to me. Then again I don’t know your relationship with your neighbors and everyone grieves differently.

    I drive a Miata.

If I were to adorn my truck with something, this is the route I would go.

Clean and simple often has the biggest impact. Pink ribbon decal with "For Bessie" nearly stenciled on the ribbon. To me, that's a more powerful statement than a tailgate full of posters.

    My humble opinion, anyhow.

    Sorry for your loss bud.

So your response to someone’s opinion about being respectful in a cemetery is to give them the finger? You seemed like a nice guy but that’s pretty rude.
